Yes he did, his was an SB 1000. Body and neck were essentially the same, but the circuit was a little more advanced. These are amazing basses i have to say. I will be getting more in stock from now on, when the opportunity arises.
Hi there, thanks for your comment, actually it is not series parallel as on this model it is a single split coil pick up like a P Bass. it is an on off switch, which is interesting in of itself! THere were different versions of this model, one with a humbucker the other with a P Bass pickup. This is the latter.

@@ColinBoonstra sorry but this bass sold maybe a year or more ago. I don't have pics of it any longer. The difference is not visible anyway. Both the precision and the humbucker look the same. The only way to figure them out is to tap the coils with a wrench to see if they lie under all strings or not on each coil.
I'm thinking of buying one of these, perhaps this week, but a little concerned about how much it will cost to refret this bad boy. Can you give me an idea what to expect? Thanks in advance!
Yeah , easy to play when you play like you do... lol Sweet playing my funky friend... Quick Question: " Didn't these come with 2 Pickups? " Or was it another bass off that line but given a slight name game Aria SBR 60R or whatever letter or number you want to put in as I've seen a few with 2 picks & dual concentric pot!.. Your Input would be much appreciated... In light of this still ongoing coronavirus and it's variants stay safe and healthy wherever you are in this world... .....
I think it is ironic that people get annoyed/turned off by slapping. Why play bass if you don't have any interest in what is an essential part of bass playing? This bass in particular is meant to be have some semblance to an Alembic. LOTS of slap happy Alembic players out there. Seriously... why even put a comment like this on here? This demo shows all aspects of playing.... including some slap. Great demo, great playing, great example of a good bass demo video.
I have one of these in the padouk red from new, was looking to sell it but every time I stop myself, just a wonderful instrument. Also have a Manson kestrel fretless, both absolute original 80s basses and not gigged much too.
I remember Jack Bruce was playing a similar Aria Pro for a while in the late 70's and early 80's.

Some seriously great playing on a seriously great bass! Super!
Hi,
Incredible bass (I've had several of the old Aria SB's over the years). The switch you were messing with is a series/parallel switch

Hi, I already got a Fender Jazz bass, I saw this Aria on sale.. is it good collection? Sounds completely different from a Jazz bass?
Хренов Пасториус на минималках)) Звук у баса потрясающий, глубина и мягкость, хотя он может звучать и очень жёстко. Один из лучших басов
Slapping, stopped video immediately :(
Good, I'd like to recommend Davie 504 😂
Also LG or VW, it'll make you puke
