Beautiful and peaceful. I have been there several times and I always enjoy it. Can you please tell me the camera that you use in this video. The clarity is fantastic. Keep the videos coming!!! I watch them after I get home from work to destress and enjoy them very much!!!!!
I just happen to live there. The Dolphins in the fountain were the creation of former (now gone) actor Bud Bottoms. S. B. is very good, except if you happen to be low-income retired or semi-skilled worker (and most skilled or technician worker). Cost of housing is very high, and people's paychecks go big time to the landlord (average local pays between 40 and 65%+ of a F-time income). The housing is very modest size wise, and in demand. A high percentage of people (including some doctors I've known) are here for a few years, then leave for other places that are $$$ better for them. I've had homeless people try to force their way with me INTO MY HOME, one alcoholic female tried this, and risked me having to use physical force to deter her. Others were just as bad. S. B.'s only advantage of being 'better' than places like Ventura/Oxnard or San Diego is that in many ways it just isn't. L.A. is a mess, millions impoverished there. Some types of light industry is not here, except for auto repair. It has no or very few consumer medium-industrial repair or fabrication shops (there are fewer than five, and only one biggish). For some things, people have to go to Ventura for it. Of course, there is little difference between S. B. and the rest of coastal california. A very high cost-of-living place, but just a very good place for people to go to visit. Still has some of it's small-town charm, and I like it. But if it weren't for my home ownership and my mom and dad's home (both are gone now) I would have left long ago. It does have a very good and responsive P. D., that do community-based work there. It, like other coastal places have a phony venir of liber(:- )~~~
finish ---> phoney venir of lberalism. Political view and 'values' don't pay the rent/food/transportation. I still like it and won't be leaving soon, even though i've had to put up with violence at times. What did I do about this? With my background in behavioraism, I 'donated' time to DETER CRIME in the neighborhood tha I lived in.
