Hey one of my friends told me about your channel! We're starting a D & D group with a new player as the D M so this will really help and your a big ol' bad ass, can't wait for the next vid. Martha Stewart was a hilarious reference lol. Did you make your armor in your past videos? That's some sweet metal work. Thanks again!
first...i am happy to be a "programs" (those are air quotes)...second...i like that you are using the basic tribal creatures like lizard men and goblins in these things for the warmup before we get to the real bad guy...and then this time we find that the goblins are not even the real bad guys!!!...I am also excited to see Alzheimer take over next time because he is the funniest character in the group... :)
+Violet Deliriums I've retconned his name to Zeimer... felt that name/joke was a bit cruel, and not something to be made fun of. And yes, Zeimer's research is the next encounter set! What terrible experiment led to the flooding of Westburg?
+Drunkens & Dragons: Play D&D Like a Badass thank you for being a decent person. I like that you saw the demeaning context of that character name and decided to change it up slightly as to keep as much of the joke still present.
Problem I forsee with this simple-initiative thing of yours is that one munchkin (there's usually at least one, even if he's just a subtle, seemingly innocent acting demi-munchkin - he knows what he's doing).. So that guy will figure out to have the fastest character's player always 1 seat clockwise from the DM. Can't be helped, if there's a simplicity, sooner or later it will be exploited.
i some times feel like my players dont invest enough emotionally into the game, and I dont think they will care about an NPC fox (especially since there wa a dog in a previous game they never cared about) but when you said it would die and make them cry it gave me an idea.... what if along with a mini I bought a plush toy to match, and every time the Fox nuzzles or cuddles or plays with a player i toss them the plush toy. Give it to them to hold on to until the next time the fox shows someone attention. THEN when the fox inevitably dies I take and DESTROY the plush toy in front of them.... Do you think this would drive home an emotional cue? or is it too extreme?
+lzrdkng no! don't be damaged and continue the cycle. Always focus on the positive and be magnanimous! I would suggest 1: outright ask the players "How can we get some more soul in this game? you guys just dick around and act sadistic...it's just leaving me blah" 2: give the critter/pet/companion real personality...make it a valuable member of the group, and role play it well when you can, also let players play the critter here and there to feel more connected. In both cases, if you as the DM don't deep down believe this group can ascend to a more sublime game, no one will. Open that heart up and cultivate some love!
This sounds like a discussion to be had over a flagon of Dwarven Wine! I think I already had a good talk with them about being more serious roleplayers (actually pared down the group into people who like to roleplay and those that only want to run fight scenes. gonna run paralell games with cross overs and stuff)... but a good discussion about how to get all my friends feeling more emotionally invested in the world is something I will do this week as we decide what stories adn themes of dungeons we want to explore next Drunkens & Dragons: Play D&D Like a Badass
That settles it. "I've got fourteen swords! I can cut something with one of them!" will absolutely be my next battle cry.
Drunkens & Dragons takes priority, even at midnight.
Well done!
I find myself working on chores and relaxing at the end of the day... I've forsaken Netflix for you Hankerin!
I would've names Stylls's siblings Crosbee and Gnash.

LOL "She's gone Goblin!"

Drunkens & Dragons: Play D&D Like a Badass
excellent! for me, though, no scenes make for better role playing than tense combat!
13 to 17 reduxering is fucking brilliant...
+Keith Pitts ??? room dc?
The Treat is to get touched by Ghost Finger?
+Brian Chamberlin always
Your logo is sweet, but it's location is not. I'd rather see your bodacious mini set up. I humbly suggest moving the logo.
DONE!
