Very informative, but even with this knowledge, I just don't feel like it's worth it to try and reach tier 21 or try at all in arena, honestly.
While you are obviously free to play the game however you wish and focus on whatever aspect of the game you find most appealing, might I remind you that for every week you achieve tier 21 in arena, you are rewarded with 5 orbs, 3.5K feathers, and 50 divine codes. Even if you only make it to tier 20, you get 4 orbs, 3K feathers, and 40 divine codes. Its not worth mentioning tier 19, because you can't remain in tier 19, meaning you either advance to tier 20 or get demoted to tier 18. But once you make it into tier 20 you can remain there as long as you score well enough. To me, and most people, scoring well in arena is very important to accumulating orbs, along with feathers and divine codes. Of course its important to also do well in Aether raids, as to accumulate grails to merge many high scoring units to +10.
Staying consistently in between the two top tiers with much less stress is preferable to me than pulling your hair trying to stay in the top tier only. I play FEH to relax and have fun, not to stress me out even further.
Its not worth for me.
Im tier 20 all time (I never reached tier 21) but the awards are very similar, not very much diference. For me its not wortha all the investment.
Because reaching T21 is awesome but it requires too much sacrifices... you cannot focus on the characters you really like, or some of them are not able to get high positions, you have to spent a lot of orbs on some specific banners to get teh best scoring skills, etc.
But on my way I can focus on teh heroes I want, despite the BST theay have, I can focus on the skills I want for them and no need to only focus certain heroes or only on legendaries during Legendaries banners to summon them, just to get... 1 orb more?

This is super helpful, as someone who has 420,000 feathers and is in arena tier 16 and looking to fix that, I will take this advice.
Thanks, I really wanted to increase my score for arena modes to be able to get more feathers. It was a bit difficult to grasp how much the small point difference mattered until now
Thanks to your old video I made it into tier 21 as a f2p player, since I got really lucky I had duel skills at my disposal, from laegjarn and Kagero. However, to stay in tier 21 you need at least 752 points base score per opponnent, I just couldn't afford it... So now I'm at tier 20.5, meaning that I am tier 21 every other week. Thank you infinitely much for those videos

I finally got to tier 21 after three years playing a couple weeks ago, but to be fair, I wasn't interested in Arena til a few months ago. I sacrificed a Helbindi and a Peony that I had repeated for boosting Nino and Cordelia, and with my loyal Garon and a Legendary Chrom that I got in the banner, I was able to achieve it.

I've been struggling to get tier 20 since the beginning of this year, and i wasn't too far off on what i needed to achieve the highest possible scoring.
Albeit, i dont see myself doing any massive merge projects soon, I still have something to work off on, so i like this video a lot!
This information in 4:30, It's new for me. My team is Gwendy, Sheena and Aversa (170 bst all) so, the best for me now is build Flame Emperor +10 huh... I'm thinking in waiting for the re-run in 6 months or so, but this 180 bst can have a greater impact than a V! Eliwood +10...
Oh, I'm f2p, with 61 crowns for now - and trying top 1k every week for AA - one time or another I can reach 5290 + and maybe, stay in top 1k lol
Edit: I got L Lyn +3 without spent a single orb lol
Thanks for the video! The scoring system has felt like a mystery to me for a while. I have quite a few +10s but only my V! Eliwood is in that highest tier. Gonna have to build up a Flame Emperor I guess!

I can’t even reach past tier 18, because then I fall back.
Until recently, I just wobbled back and forth between Tier 16 and 17 playing against "Beginning" players.
The rewards are good enough for me.
Lately though, I have been frustrated by invincible beginning Tier 1 teams. I am not sure how this is even possible.
If I were to guess, maybe I am fighting against farmers who are levelling accounts for resale. So they whale at the beginning, get a bunch a great heroes, and play.

I wonder how Nemesis would stack up in arena.
In terms of scoring sadly just as good as Astram or Itsuki, and worse than Flame Emperor. Unlike the other recent Infantry units which also have 176 Bst, Nemesis does not have a superboon in any of his stats, so even after removing his bane by merging him once he doesn't get into the 180ST score bracket. Currently the better picks would be either Flame Emperor Ena, or Ninja Hana. Ena and Ninja Hana can reach 180BST by using Trait Fruit to make them +SPD.(wether it is worth it to you to use Trait Fruit on them is a different thing, but unlike Nemesis they atleast have the option.)
I'm probably gonna go for W!Jaffar. I'm planning on building a +10 Mythic Lif, so I don't want to use my grails on more sword infantry units. An axe armor would be nice too I guess, I just don't really like the unit. Gonna be awkward since I already have W!Cecilia.
I've been using Chrom, my +3 Kronya, a bonus unit, then something to round out the team, I think it's enough to get me to tier 15 or something.
I get me in tier 17 with alphone ana sharena and peony so easy

Hey dude, or anyone here, is there a list of the 3-4* pool I can find to build any units in the bonus rotation? I can't really find this info anywhere
What units will be bonus units(outside of the newest banners+ the askr trio) doesn't follow any sort of pattern as far as I know, so you can't really predict that too well. However here is an avaibility chart of all heroes, if that helps you:

@@Balthiar it seems like one slot is usually 3-4* pool regulars like fir, lucas, ross, echinda, and more higher scoring f2p characters, I realize it's a larger pool, but there does seem to be certain ones that rotate outside of all the different pools, I've damn into all +10 teams with quite a few of these done. The only thing really stopping me from getting to 21 is have the 4th bonus hero +10. So I was going to find out if that has any kind of pool and take the time to try and build +10 3-4 star unit's out of it to always have the 4th bonus unit +10. I swear there's a pattern there lol
@@gearhead215 well you are correct that there is always at least one 3-4star pool hero, but you can hardly +10 all 3-4 star heroes in the game. I'm sure you probably allready found thhis list of all previous bonus heroes:

At the begining of the game they used to always have one of the heroes you can get at 1-2 star from the special maps, but they changed it eventually. Nowadays it seems like there is no pattern to it at all, outside of 1 of the heroes being a 3-4 star pool unit.
Or atleast I can't find a pattern, if you can, let me know.
EDIT: In fact scratch that, in week 167 there wasn't even a 3-4 star pool unit. Only one TT and one GHB unit, so even that isn't a pattern.
@@Balthiar I hadn't found that list laid out like that, at quick glance I notice a couple tend to pop up more like gordin, hawkeye, and Becca. Ill do some more digging once I have a chance to sit down, if I happen to find a few untis that pop up just a hair more often, I'll post on here, appreciate the heads up 🤙🤙
Wait, I thought the duel effect on legendary heroes applied to blessed heroes, not the legendary hero themself.
I'll tell you a secret. I thought the same. But when the duo heroes came out and had the same wording I got suspicious.
And sure enough I tried it out with my legendary Leif and it's true, he always counts for 175BST(even outside water season) and the score of the other water blessed heroes doesn't change.

I kinda like the idea(allthough there is no tier 22).
It will take some time to set up though, and I think it would make the most sense to just keep it to weekly update videos.
But I like idea idea of a "prove of concept" to show that you can reach tier 21 F2P even if you were to make a new account right now, and therefore don't have access to all the F2P ressources that I have ammased over the last 3 years.
Are the Duel skills kinda useless now since they only put you at 170?
If you are going for max score, yes they kinda are.
They do still cost 300 SP though, so if you don't have any othe r 300SP skill around you could use them for that.

Yes, both cost 240SP. And currently there is no 300SP inheritable B-slot, so that's as good as it gets.

I hate arena, it's really hard to score higher points and spending your dueling swords. It Really drains down the players like me. I wanna get the crown or at least, reach tier 21. But I don't have the unit or the merge 10 or the materials to make 5 stars +10. I hardly play feh cuz I'm focusing on my life and I have nothing else to do on feh. Just the same thing and re-use modes. I got bored. Hope in the near future that IS can a Brand NEW mode and contents on feh. maybe I'll come back. Yeah, that's all I have to say. Thanks for the guides on how to high score. But honestly, I don't have the time to do all of that. If they can improve Arena. then I'm alright. But for now, I'm taking a break on feh.
I alternate between tier 21 and 20
How are people able to sandbag so easily in Arena. I am in Tier 17, and choosing to fight against Beginner, Tier 1, I am facing unbeatable teams filled with 5* +. My team is not bad, and I am choosing to play casual by choosing to play against Tier 1, but if a Tier 1 Beginner team is unbeatable, why have that as a choice?
I know what you mean.Had that issue a few times last week as well, where I used my considerably strong arena team on easy difficulty to just get the arena quests done, and I would lose to every team who just had a fallen edelgard on their team. That unit was a mistake.
I found that If I just want some quick wins I can just put 1 very selfsufficent unit like B!Hector in my team and fill up the rest of the slots with random level 1 units. This tends to even out the levels on the opposing team as well and means that my B!Hector just has to take on some lvl 25 units with incomplete builds.Which should be easy.
