I love Tanks but his kit was just missing something and this definitely helps when playing him. I know some of you still wont enjoy his playstyle but I really like it. Thoughts on his augment?
I love it. Exactly what he needed. I tried pillage now it is not necessary. I wish DE will tweak his wall so in terrain where the walls hit Abit too high or low make the wall to fill the gaps above or below(aspecially below) so it will hit more accurate
I've been a qorvex fan since launch and honestly armor strip is solved for me by helios with the strip on melee mod i care more about getting actually good grouping for even more Damage
I think this augment is definitely going to be a bit help for him, maybe you could look into valkyr now that arcane battery has been released maybe valkyr now can be the berserk valkyrie that Odin needed 😁
I ended up falling in love with him, and was happy to see him get this. He will be the first warframe that I decide you know what, lets put an umbral forma or 3 on him. As morbid as this is, as a radworker in the Navy, I fell in love and went wholesale into the theme of entrati even more than normal. I have several forma(no umbra yet) on him, on ekhein, on trumna, and on sepulcrum. Hek, the configs are even in theme, a base kit called criticality, a gloom build named thermalization, and a null star build named fission. I have a diriga with the loid skin for "photointeractions" shall we say. I have a casting, 2 strength, and soon 2 armor health or armor shards(still deciding) i love him and all the heart attack inducing sounds that he has!
I really love qorvex...but they gotta make the lift status get negated by his power already...nothing messes with my flow more than when an acolyte spamming the lift attack every 6 seconds....come on now, it's been an issue since qorvexes release
This augment is rock solid. It will be a foundation of builds going forward. I will be happy to see what builds people have constructed with this. Look at this dude, building up the community together. He had such a rocky start when he came out. I'm glad to see they built him up. Sorry, not sorry.
I feel like arcane battery was made for him, feels so good to use + his new augment, i did a solo archimedea run with him yesterday and he rocks (haha)
Any high armor warframe can benefit from this arcane... Also, Hydroid can gain max energy with this arcane stealing enemies armor, but it won't replenish his energy for that, keep that in mind. If the buff of Hydroid ends, his max energy would back were it was too
The augment is awesome. But the best improvements to Containment Walls weren't even in the patch notes. The grouping works far better than it did, and the vulnerability affects Eximus overguard.
Personally, I felt like he kills just fine without a strip. You just get to watch them explode for slightly longer, which is a beautiful sight anyways. and you've got weapons you can throw in viral or corrosive or what have you which is probably even better now with the lack of excessive armor from the rebalances. I also use him for looting the level though, cause I removed disometric for a Gyre sphere. helps compact enemies together and keeps them off their feet in a nice ball and clears rooms of items to find special loot when the game mode requires it, but still has 180% power on the ult, where the big damage comes from cause of focused intensify. Vaporizes the room just fine.
This will help him in lower density situations, but where he already shined - high enemy density missions, the augment really isn't particularly useful. The only reason I would use this on my usual high-density build (which is negative strength, maximum range and duration, and full +rad shards, with breach surge over containment wall) is to clear up the space used by duration, but even then, duration effects how long his pillars stay empowered while this only refreshes how long they stay up.
I threw together a build for him the day the Aug dropped because I'm the guy in your group who forma'd Qorvex 11 times to figure out where I wanted him, and I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiment. The first thing I said to my friend who also plays is that this mod feels like it kinda brings him the rest of the way together to be an actually great Warframe and not just a good one.
@TacticalPotato that's a feeling I have with a few frames like loyal merulina. I feel that being a tap hold to ride or just summon the jellyfish should just be a part. Volts capacitance maybe ? There are a few that just feel like a core part of the ability stripped instead of an augment imo

Dude, thank you so much for suggesting Arcane Battery, it slipped right by me. Being able to remove Prime Flow opened up my build a lot. I don't have any Umbra Formas right now, but was able to make it work thanks to this one arcane.
This is certainly a good substitute for what I do, which is replacing his 1 with Tharros Strike. With enough ability strength, it instantly strips any enemy in front of you. This Tharros Strike build I use is much simpler for similar output of power, but using a build with no subsumed abilities and this new augment will have much higher highs than my Tharros Strike build. Qorvex just has a super synergistic kit, so it was hard for me to replace any of his abilities in the first place. This augment makes the decision not to replace any just a bit easier!
With his new augment I find more enjoyment out of him. Him being able to strip armor and shields a lot easier than Sty given his immense long range of his 2 compared to say Sty's. While Hildryn can 100% strip too, it takes 333% and corrosive projection. Qorvex doesn't need as much and you can get far more range to strip armor easier since its only 200% needed. He really really feels good now.
Not related to Qorvex, or tanky frames at all, but some squishier frames got a neat little tool for survivability in Secondary Fortifier. Been playing it on Banshee with a Tenet Cycron and mecha hound, and I'm ripping through the toughest enemies with minimal safety concerns. Might you be giving that Arcane a look?
Just a quick question I swapped in Arcane Blessing for the other arcane besides battlery but I’ve been struggling to keep my energy economy afloat I’m just wondering how you are constantly maxed out on energy I’m also running rage to facetank enemy’s and get energy that way but I’ve never seen so many energy pickups. Yea, I really wanna find a place for this augment in my build as well. It looks like it's not only useful for making abilities do damage, but stripping is also needed for Radiation's friendly-fire to actually do damage (except against Corpus, who are too strong for their own good,) but should also make fighting single-targets like Acolytes and Demolysts much easier since it'll indirectly buff your weapons.
I haven't played Qorvex in a while not because I felt like he was missing an armor strip, but more because he requires a camping playstyle that's also not very compatible with public teams. I had my teammates killing everything around me over and over again, not giving ke much of a chance to perform his chain of abilities.
Just curious, why do you feel that the armor strip is the thing that he was missing? You just build max range and slap precision intensify, if there is a group of enemies they are getting destroyed immediately. Press 4 and rotate the camera to hit as many enemies as possible, the chain reaction damage is bonkers and huge range leaves little chance for your squadmates to mess your 4 up
@@code3802 I was already referring to Steel Path, of course. If anything, Steel Path only makes him stronger, because the amount of enemies increases as well and the chain reaction will deal more damage

So, either the augment is bugged or just worded incorrectly. You do in fact NOT need to hit any enemies with your wall to restart the duration of your pillars. This condition only needs to be satisfied, if you want to empower them.
I have used the augment, and i'm not sure if you even need to hit 5 enemies to reset the pillar's duration, i would say that i have reset it just hitting one enemy only, but i haven't tested properly.
+3 Punch Through is EXACTLY what that shit does in the morning bro. It feels like you've got Heavy Caliber slotted on it too for that extra damage at the expense of accuracy LOOL
Neither, just hit enemies with the walls and you activate the pillar time reset on any active pillars you have. Also you don't have to hit the full amount of enemies, I've been getting the timer reset off hitting a single enemy bc it seems to count number of hits rather than number of enemies hit and the walls hit a ton of separate times as they move
I mean an ability for exclusively status immunity sucks when I could just run any frame with over guard and boom. No more status. Also this augment doesn’t fix his biggest problem which was survivability

In my line of work (Priv-Mil Contractor, operating primarily in warzones) the internet either is spotty, wonderful, or just non-existent to where I must surf the net in my own head. I did farm the event as much as I could, which led to my first ever burnout for the game. I took a break until the Protea update and afterwards pursued other things which has kept me away ever since! I think I did hear the Scarlet Spear event is an annual one? Hopefully you acquired your missing arcanes since then!
@@auribusteneolupum2977 No, unfortunately. Scarlet Spear has not returned since the first run. And it's not really the arcanes I'm unhappy about missing, it's the event decorations: the Murex and Earth holograms. Those aren't coming back unless the event does, and that's extremely unlikely.
It's funny you say he was missing something because my opinion of him was that he was missing a ton of things. Damage Reduction, Armour Strip, Regen of any form, he didn't have any of this. He got 1 thing this patch and I think it was the least needed one of the stuff he was missing. I still really hate his 3, it's so bizarre to me that it gives status immunity and literally nothing else. It's a lot you have to gear for to make up for his lack of things missing so I'd rather just play something else.
There is so many ways to get strenght and duration but very few to get range. I wonder if DE are scared of adding more range to game cos' it might automate some frames or stright up don't want to cos' it might ruin fun for most if any single warframe gets so much range.
imo what qorvex is missing the most is ability to move he just dosnt feel fluid his 4 aiming is wonky wish it was more like mesa 4 and his 1 could be 1 handed action
Why tho? Qorvex is already tanky as he is, have armor strip, soft cc and nuking. And his passive is 3 meters of punchtrough. He don't need mobility tools when Warframe is already as fast as it is.
@@TacticalPotato but like, his 4's range is way bigger than his 2. using something with a large AoE armor strip would be better. i feel like this 2 with aug makes it good in one small area, while terrify strips an area more compareable to his 4's explosions.
I dont know man, Qorvex seemed cool initially. Then he was released and honestly, not even this Augment can save him from being Helminth Fodder for me. I havent done it yet in hopes that sweet sweet Pablo magic gets sprinkled on to Qorvex.

Caliban is not a bad frame, is just not that good at whats he is intended too, since he can CC and armor strip, but some stuff are missing out to be completed
@@Voldrim359 his 1 is self kill. His 2 is good but more % damage, like the damage mirage have. And his 3 is good for tanking and spreed enemy fire. And his 4 is damm amazing it feel so good to use. Augument may help him like what if his 3 use mods of ypur mele and his 1 too, first two skill augument ? Or pasivr adaptation boost to 90% but you het only 5 not 10 point per hit and made it ex slot like nova portal augument. Make his 4 augument to make big aoe blast like few lasers in evry side. Augument for his 2 who steal armor, shilds and garde from kill enemy under his 2 and give it to allys aroud.

Well you can burst into a room and setup pillars but the unfortunate reality of combo frames is they're slower than most frames by and large

Been using triple umbra, topaz shards, and arcane battery since the update and it's been a blast. I didn't even know about the augment until now.

The biggest help for the 2 would be adjusting tinto the terrain at or below the camera direction. Its made of segments already FFS.

I didn't use equilibrium, instead, i used Rage, slap Arcane Grace and some blue shards with health regen... Now you are a true walking powerplant

You dont actually have to hit 5 enemies or more. It resets on hitting 1 enemy if you hit them with 5 procs. I tested it in ascension

I did farm the event as much as I could, which led to my first ever burnout for the game. I took a break until the Protea update and afterwards pursued other things which has kept me away ever since!
I think I did hear the Scarlet Spear event is an annual one? Hopefully you acquired your missing arcanes since then!

And it's not really the arcanes I'm unhappy about missing, it's the event decorations: the Murex and Earth holograms. Those aren't coming back unless the event does, and that's extremely unlikely.

It's funny you say he was missing something because my opinion of him was that he was missing a ton of things. Damage Reduction, Armour Strip, Regen of any form, he didn't have any of this. He got 1 thing this patch and I think it was the least needed one of the stuff he was missing. I still really hate his 3, it's so bizarre to me that it gives status immunity and literally nothing else. It's a lot you have to gear for to make up for his lack of things missing so I'd rather just play something else.
There is so many ways to get strenght and duration but very few to get range. I wonder if DE are scared of adding more range to game cos' it might automate some frames or stright up don't want to cos' it might ruin fun for most if any single warframe gets so much range.

Qorvex is already tanky as he is, have armor strip, soft cc and nuking. And his passive is 3 meters of punchtrough. He don't need mobility tools when Warframe is already as fast as it is.
To be fair he is a block of concrete. him being super fluid when moving wouldn't fit the design

Terrify doesn't keep pillars amped up or help with his 4ths explosions though.

@@TacticalPotato but like, his 4's range is way bigger than his 2. using something with a large AoE armor strip would be better. i feel like this 2 with aug makes it good in one small area, while terrify strips an area more compareable to his 4's explosions.

I dont know man, Qorvex seemed cool initially. Then he was released and honestly, not even this Augment can save him from being Helminth Fodder for me. I havent done it yet in hopes that sweet sweet Pablo magic gets sprinkled on to Qorvex.

Caliban is not a bad frame, is just not that good at whats he is intended too, since he can CC and armor strip, but some stuff are missing out to be completed
@@Voldrim359 his 1 is self kill. His 2 is good but more % damage, like the damage mirage have. And his 3 is good for tanking and spreed enemy fire. And his 4 is damm amazing it feel so good to use. Augument may help him like what if his 3 use mods of ypur mele and his 1 too, first two skill augument ? Or pasivr adaptation boost to 90% but you het only 5 not 10 point per hit and made it ex slot like nova portal augument. Make his 4 augument to make big aoe blast like few lasers in evry side. Augument for his 2 who steal armor, shilds and garde from kill enemy under his 2 and give it to allys aroud.
