    • @KatiePix
      @KatiePix  8 лет назад

      +дмитрий гончаренко I reckon you could do that although you are likely to have quite limp/soggy veg this way and would need to be sure you reheated any meat products extremely thoroughly i.e. in the microwave, not just with hot water. It's not something I have tried myself, but I would be interested to see if it has worked for you! :D x

    Using Ketchup and stock cubes with alot of flavor enhancers, ruin the purpose of these "healthy instant noodles"
    Try drying cut up vegetables in your oven on slow heat for a few hours.
    Once you made vegetable chips, you can crush them, add some salt and you got your own "stock" in powderform that has 0 enhancning chemicals in it and tastes great :P

    I've just found your channel and I LOVE IT!! I think that I've watch almost all of your recipes :D But one question, what do you think that I could add instead of chicken to make it vegetarian? Do you think that tofu could work? Thanks in advance!!

    • @KatiePix
      @KatiePix  9 лет назад

      +Marina Amado Fierro Thank you so so much, Marina! Your lovely comment means the world to me. :D Yes, Tofu would work well as silken Tofu can be diced up and eaten as it is! I would also pack it full of lots more delicious veggies - peas, peppers, spinach, tomatoes, spring onions, beansprouts - it's up to you! I'm going to have to give this veggie version a try! ;) Happy Sunday x

    What can i substitute for corn flout and coconut cream??

    • @sai5556
      @sai5556 8 лет назад

      Flour*

    • @KatiePix
      @KatiePix  8 лет назад

      +Summer Heartss Corn flour is used to thicken your sauce, but if you're not that bothered you can leave it out. You can use plain flour instead for the same thickening effect however plain flour needs to 'cook' a bit which it doesn't do particularly well in this environment. Also, coconut cream is to mimic that 'curry' effect in the sauce. You can try this instead with yoghurt (though it will likely curdle a little) or leave it out and enjoy a sharper, less creamy sauce.

    How long does it keep?

    • @KatiePix
      @KatiePix  9 лет назад

      +raymondspogo The ingredients you pop in the jar will last as long as the veggies (as they're often the first to go off) if properly sealed and NOT 'watered'. I find this particular combo can last up to 5 days before the Spinach loses its love!

    I'm sorry, but, regarding the ingredients, how is it any better or healthier than the original pot noodle? I get the you use pepper, but... stock cube? Precooked noodles? Ketchup? I do not intend to be rude or anything, but I dont get it.

    • @KatiePix
      @KatiePix  8 лет назад

      I'll try and sort out a calorie break down. It's the use of fresh ingredients that's the real winner with this one!

    • @KatiePix
      @KatiePix  9 лет назад

      +James Eisert I hear ya! Granted it's a touch more lavish than the Original 'Pot Noodle' but can be as cheap as you want it to be e.g. substitute your meat with more affordable veggies! And don't forget your store cupboard ingredients will keep and make A LOT of meals. :) Enjoy!

      Fair enough. They do soften with the boiling water, especially if you julienne them nice and thin! Alternatively, pre-cook them, or blast them in the microwave for a minute!

    Pot Noodles aren't just for speed, most people love the taste of them, so unless this tastes the same, pointless.

    • @KatiePix
      @KatiePix  7 лет назад

      I hear what you're saying. This is just my little twist on things to enjoy the convenience and flavour of a pot noodle without the guilt of eating... well, I'm not entirely sure what the brightly coloured powder is made of. Obviously delicious stuff but, this way, I know what's gone into it! Give it a crack and let me know what you reckon.
