“The Birth of Hope”
In the Christmas story we see God’s prophetic promise-plan to save the world begin to unfold. Centuries-old prophecies begin to come to pass and the birth of John the Baptiser to Elizabeth sees the birth of renewed hope in God and his Messiah. John’s mission to prepare the way for Jesus challenges us to ready our hearts for God’s work in our lives while Elizabeth’s steadfast faith during years of waiting inspires us to trust God’s plan even when his ways and timing are beyond our understanding.
