Actually sir ! I was in search for this type of concept to start my first planted tank. To start with soil, plants and expensive lights, CO2 , fertilizers is so confusing and if a beginner tastes a failure for the first time , I bet he will never dare to continue the hobby. Yesterday I started my first setup with Java moss , Java fern , cryptocorn wendeti green, valesneria,foxtail .hope for the best. This setup resembles the rocky river bed of many assam rivers. Water has many fallen branches and is very clear , a few feet high, with shrimps and unknown fish. I am sure there must be local epiphyte species underwater. The problem is govt fishery centres around fish for consumption. There should be a aquascaping department.
Great concept, Need a scientific video on the Co2 exchange in this type of setup, really curious on how the plants sustain without injected carbon dioxide.
I may sound very naive and foolish in asking this but still i would like to know why we need filters when there is water change involved? Wouldnt it be fine without filters as well?
