That was amazing! The technical accuracy of that piece was dead on and you did not miss a beat. There were a few sour low notes but your wonderful playing atoned for that. Good job!
36 dollars for the sheet music! your a mad man! absolutely beautiful song though...ill get it on sheet music somehow...maybe i can convince my band director to pay for it.
you should check out the version by debra richtmeyer. she teaches at the university of illinois urbana champaign. if you go to her faculty bio page you can listen to it for free. it is absolutely the best version i have ever heard.
Great performance, but remember everything was played before it was written down. What we intend to do as musicians is to capture the thoughts and mind state of the composer and convey them in your own way. Make the piece yours.
Excellent! I do however feel that the Cadence section should be played MUCH more recitative. You have a gorgeous sound and I think it would be entirely fitting to the piece to experiment with more drama and emotion in it. Especially with these semi-atonal pieces; the point of them is often to emulate an idea or emotion, not musical harmony. Have you listened to Claude Delangle's recording of this piece? Absolutely incredible. I also recommend Steven Mauk's interpretation
abra q escucharos a vosotros de tocar, que os gusta de criticar colegasss deja q la gente toque como le de la gana y lo mas fuerte de todo esq son inglesitos todos o lo oq sean
your technique is amazing, but I feel like you just blaze through the less technical sections. Take some time to milk everything and make it even more musical. Listen to how Delangle plays on his recording on a la francaise, he can play wicked fast but still is able to make those less technical sections sing out so well.
Wow, I'm thinking of doing that piece next year for my end of year university performance exam. Incredible!
you feel music a lot.
the cadence sounded great man
