Sometimes I feel this quarantine situation was a blessing in disguise because people have realised their passion and they are coming out of their comfort zone.
It’s your life that’s making me to pursue my passion than accepting the idea of societal pressure. Anchoring is what I love and what I want to be , yet family wants me to get a govt job and settle. With their lines as “media is not for girls” now I can boldly show you as my inspiration for a freaking successful career. The part where you mentioned “ if she goes to banglore she is screwed she won’t get a guy to marry” is what I heard when I wanted to start my graduation in the garden city, still my father supported my career ignoring those stupid relatives bulshit talks and believed in me to shine in the way I want to. Seeing you and your career chart motivates me daily that yes one day I am gonna be what I wannna be .. That's a very valid question. The whole concept of discovering and pursuing your passion is not an easy one. And that's one of the underlying topics that I have been trying to uncover through the course of the show. What I've learned from talking to all these wonderful people is that the only way to know if something is a passion or not is to try it out by giving it some dedicated time. And only you can tell whether this is the activity for you or not. And as for not having a passion at all, that would never be true. Everyone has interests and areas they would want to spend time doing. So it's just a matter of trying things out till you discover for yourself. My recommendation is to think back to your childhood. There are so many hints you'll get from seeing what you have always enjoyed doing back when you were younger. And then it's a matter of trying it out to see if you actually like it. I'd like to call out one caveat here - Even when you find something you love, there will still be its own monotony or boring aspects. But you'll be happy because you're working towards the bigger thing - your Passion. It's just a matter of how the good outweighs the bad. These are things I've gotten from simply talking to all of my guests. So I would highly recommend checking out some of the other episodes too. It is sure to get you thinking! If you can't watch the whole thing on RUclips, consider listening on Spotify or Apple Podcasts when you're doing something else. You won't regret it! All the best, Bhargavi! 😊

Hey Sadaf! I'm no sir, you can address me by my first name 😊 Also, me doing this right now and pursuing my passion was not my situation when I was in college. I was mostly on a conventional path looking to get into good company right out of college and then eventually get an MBA. Barely any plans around passion actually. But what I did do was spend some considerable time on things that interested me like playing football. I used to pursue that quite seriously though. So when I got into this MNC right out of college, I became the captain of the company's India team. Also, I think that discipline helped me a lot in everything that I'm doing right now. So I would say just spending some considerable time on what interests you and balancing it with other aspects of your life will go a long way and help you in pursuing anything in life because the underlying discipline and principles would still apply 😊

what if, I don't have a passion or don't realize my passion or having many passions?
That's a very valid question. The whole concept of discovering and pursuing your passion is not an easy one. And that's one of the underlying topics that I have been trying to uncover through the course of the show.
What I've learned from talking to all these wonderful people is that the only way to know if something is a passion or not is to try it out by giving it some dedicated time. And only you can tell whether this is the activity for you or not.
And as for not having a passion at all, that would never be true. Everyone has interests and areas they would want to spend time doing. So it's just a matter of trying things out till you discover for yourself. My recommendation is to think back to your childhood. There are so many hints you'll get from seeing what you have always enjoyed doing back when you were younger. And then it's a matter of trying it out to see if you actually like it.
I'd like to call out one caveat here - Even when you find something you love, there will still be its own monotony or boring aspects. But you'll be happy because you're working towards the bigger thing - your Passion. It's just a matter of how the good outweighs the bad.
These are things I've gotten from simply talking to all of my guests. So I would highly recommend checking out some of the other episodes too. It is sure to get you thinking! If you can't watch the whole thing on RUclips, consider listening on Spotify or Apple Podcasts when you're doing something else. You won't regret it!

I'm no sir, you can address me by my first name 😊
Also, me doing this right now and pursuing my passion was not my situation when I was in college. I was mostly on a conventional path looking to get into good company right out of college and then eventually get an MBA. Barely any plans around passion actually.
But what I did do was spend some considerable time on things that interested me like playing football. I used to pursue that quite seriously though. So when I got into this MNC right out of college, I became the captain of the company's India team. Also, I think that discipline helped me a lot in everything that I'm doing right now.
So I would say just spending some considerable time on what interests you and balancing it with other aspects of your life will go a long way and help you in pursuing anything in life because the underlying discipline and principles would still apply 😊
