Those seats are designed to have harnesses put in them the 5-point harness I don't even think a seatbelt would hold you in the seat properly you got to go with the harness like in black or white or you can go red but you have to go with a red that doesn't clash
For the Tan seat belt receivers if they come apart to get the red button out you can do some Rit Dye application. I used to strip my RC cars that had plastic chassis and it comes out flawlessly. Hell I’ll do them if you want.
Weld the RX7 seat bases onto a computer chair frame so you can have max comfort chairs in the office! I did this with an old E36 M3 Lux seat, it was incredible
TJ, Rit Black dye the seatbelt latch housing. Probably won't end up looking factory but it should darken it well enough to make it look good for hella cheap. You may have to do it a few times to get it where you want it.

You should try and dye the tan buckles black. Get some rit synthetic fabric dye and put it in near boiling hot water and let the buckles soak in that hot water overnight. By morning they should be a nice black color. Won’t chip or crack either
Looks clean the red looks great too. Definitely would prefer the Brides over the stock seats. I remember how my FD felt at first but once I got used to it I forgot about how high it felt lol.
TJ, Can you try to dye the belt buckle? or you can get one 3D-Printed for the cover. If its universal enough get one close enough from another type of car. Good Luck!

Harness bar with harness’s in that would be sick! I put a harness bar with harness’s in my frs and all I do is daily with it and I love it. So I don’t think it would be to aggressive in that beast.
Coming from a guy with back issues that has to do yoga just to live lol I have race buckets in my 1993 Chevy short wide 1500... truck is not anything close to stock but my back and waist line thank me. For one if I where to put on 10 pounds I got them tight enough that I wouldn't fit lol They keep me planted at any speed and like I said there is no slacking sitting in them. Wouldn't give them up for anything.
I like both sets of seats to be honest..but I would have to go with the brides though. A high seat does suck period. Put the reupholstered seats on display or something. They're a nice memory.

You can not paint plastic however you can a dye plastic... You need to completely wash degrees D wax the plastic With soap and water fully dry them and then use clean rags with wax and grease remover and you can get a dye kit to go from Brown to black. Might take several stages to give the dark black I want however Di will actually last if you do the process properly. Biggest thing is letting them only dry and cure before re installing as the smell is very strong.
TJ. Huge favor to ask you. Can you throw on your race helmet and tell me how many inches of clearance you have to the headliner? And, how tall you are? Thinking this setup with the lean would be solid in my FD too.

That to me is a milestone. So as a fan i said if you want give 1 away in the next give away if you end up having one but keep your drivers seat.💯

I do upholstery if you use sem dye on those belt clips it wont chip or scratch. Done correctly at least.

Paint the seat belt klicker black TJ use something like plastidip it stays flexible so wound chip.
Get the upholstery shop that done your seats to wrap the belt buckles in black leather.

You can take the seat belt clip and wrap it in carbon fiber wrap will hold up

For the e seat belt, can you get the plastic covers scanned and 3d printed in black? Or maybe now red.
