ℹ About this Webinar: In this webinar you will learn and understand how it is possible to achieve super energy efficiency by designing to use the most advanced LED lighting technologies and lighting controls systems.
You will be taken on a journey of discovery of technologies such as Power over Ethernet (PoE), Visible Light Communication (VLC) and Indoor Positioning Systems (IPS).
Philip will also take an in depth look at how daylight can be utilised in architectural projects to enhance energy efficiency in combination with daylight harvesting technology and be combined with Bluetooth Mesh technology or Casambi control systems.
Finally Philip will demonstrate how daylight calculations can be manually performed in Relux Desktop and how we can optimise the use of daylight in building projects.
🔹 Speaker Bio: BHA School of Lighting was created by Phil Hammond, MD and founder of leading illumination engineering practice, BHA Lighting Design & Consulting. Philip is considered an authority on lighting practises and LED lighting technology in South Africa and across the world.
A qualified professional illumination engineer, Philip was trained by Thorn EMI Lighting (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd in 1976 and 1977 through London Southbank University (UK) and graduated Cum Laude as B Illum Eng. With over 48 years industry experience, he is a regular contributor to lighting and energy related publications.
Philip is a member of the Illumination Engineering Society of South Africa (IESSA). In the past he served as the IESSA Chairman for the Cape Town branch for two years, and prior to that he held the portfolio of Development & Training. Philip is also a member of The Institution of Lighting Professionals (ILP, United Kingdom) and an Educator member of the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD, USA).
