If you want a cleaner, more Helium-like K snare I think you should focus on the pressure of the K snare itself instead of the inhalation of air after the K snare. There's variations of the K snare and you already got that one down but it's just a bit different from the more compacted pressurized snare. Makes it sound more clean. Both have their uses though.
