I haven't tried the new one, but I do go into a bit of detail at the end of the video about how disappointed I was that Sumo decided to drop the All-Stars from it.
@@MrThunderwing Yes, I just finished the video about 15 minutes ago and funnily, it was almost exactly like what happened to me ;) I found Transformed much, much later and I first tried it on PC. there's one thing that made playing Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing worth while and that's as soon as you completed the final Cup in Grand Prix mode you got treated with the song So Much More by Bentley Jones as the end credits song.

If you're playing on PC you could just pick up a save file like wot I did. If you're on console you need to hold on to those All Stars and use them at the end of a race to get past the Expert CPU. It's a pain in the arse, but it is do-able. I think linking all the later unlockable stuff to having to do challenges on the Expert setting is one area Sumo did drop the ball a bit here.
I wouldn't mind getting this again for PS3, but I'd have to go through all the hassle again of unlocking all characters and their console mods etc. And for Steam as well even, as that runs at 60fps and has more selection of characters but I think I need a more powerful laptop for steam (my previous laptop ran it well, unlike my recent one, but might try it again in future). The ai is so fucking cheap, the game is just a list of jobber characters like Vyse, Joe and Ulala (especially that pink haired skank, hate her and Pudding with passions) put into a racing game with fucking horrible mechanics, half of the characters struggle to turn so fuck this.
Got that part 3 minutes in with the nostalgia. Used to play Sonic Classic Collection on my DS, has Sonic 1, 2, 3 and Knuckles in highschool back when I wanted the Archie comics. Fucking loved those characters like Scourge.

Team Sonic Racing is utter garbage, I don't know how they got it so wrong after making a game as good as Transformed. The music is good in it, but that's about all. By the way, the PC version of Transformed isn't limited to 1080p, it can do screen resolutions as high as your display can allow. We play it in 4K instead. :-)
Transformed is pretty much my favourite kart racer (I also play as AGES), I even prefer it to Mario Kart 8. I would have much preferred it if Sumo had simply made more themed tracks as DLC instead of a completely new game which undid everything good about Transformed. :-)

No idea - Google Play Store? That's where people normally get Android games. Is this even available on Android?
Solid 3/10, hated this game. Still trying to 100% this game.
@@Euro.Patriot The AI has got some definite prick-ish qualities.
@@Euro.Patriot to be fair tha AI difficulty is a reference to Sega Touring Car Championship if anybody remembers how brutally difficult those AI was on Sega Touring Car Championship
Yeah, I just don't get why Sumo decided to mess with the winning formula from the first 2 games. So disappointing.
Transformed is pretty much my favourite kart racer (I also play as AGES), I even prefer it to Mario Kart 8. I would have much preferred it if Sumo had simply made more themed tracks as DLC instead of a completely new game which undid everything good about Transformed. :-)
@@danbrittain9530 Yeah, a missed opportunity. I'd have loved a Daytona USA themed DLC track.
