Aw Noorie! I felt the same way when I got engaged, I was so scared about what's next and all the planning and expectations. Enjoy the fiancé stage and take the time to enjoy the planning because you both deserve it. My husband and I gave ourselves about a year and a half and took it slow, tried to book things early where we could and now that we had our wedding and all the stress of it is over, we can look back at our wedding videos and photos with so much admiration and relief for the day.
The wedding will be perfect because your relationship is so special ❤️

I absolutely feel you in terms of the pressure of doing something and then avoiding it because it gives you so much stress and anxiety. It can be very overwhelming, but trust and believe that you will be able to manage all of it ❤️ try to get all the inspiration and advice that you need from pinterest, Instagram, close friends and family and those who have already been married in your circles. definitely try looking into the important things like venues, decoration, wedding cake, catering and entertainment/music as soon as you can. I know the moment that you will see a venue both of you love, everything will fall into place, so don’t be too worried. lots of love and good energy ✨🙏🏻

Just got engaged and planning on a summer ‘24 wedding. Before getting engaged I thought I had all the wedding planned in my head. Now that I actually have to plan something, I’m so clueless. I feel you. 💚
Just breathe! The wedding planning will be fine. It’s something you’ve wanted for a long time, and you’re with your perfect person, so it will be fine. Just don’t put so much pressure on yourself. Have fun with it because time flies. 🎉🎉🎉❤❤

It is perfectly ok to drag your feet a little when it comes to starting your wedding planning! I am a Planner in the US and many of our couples don’t start planning right away. It is the most important day of your life to date and you have so many expectations of how you dream of it being, once you start the planning it becomes real and it can be a little overwhelming. Hire your Planner as your first step, if you haven’t already and then go from there! Get that venue first! Whenever are wherever it is, it’s going to be magical and unforgettable! I got engaged in April 2022 and didn’t start planning my wedding until January 2023😅 I honestly just didn’t know where to start and didn’t want to be too stressed out. Now that I have a venue booked, things are so much easier. All this to say, you’re not alone and definitely not behind! 😊

August bride here! I was the exact same way, I put off a lot of planning bc its such a big day and want it to be perfect, but also it's a lotttt of work and didn't really know where to start. Weigh the pros and cons of locations, then make finding your venue the priority. Everything kinda comes together after that! I was extremely indecisive along the way, but when in doubt, go by how something makes you feel, especially when it comes to smaller details, your look/dress. It's more of that special "feeling" than thought, if that make sense. Good luck and can't wait to follow along!! 😊

I just got engaged in December and when I think about wedding planning, I get filled with anxiety. I honestly feel like I don’t even want a traditional wedding, but I think the societal pressure of having one is what’s pushing me to have one. Like the amount of money, energy, and time that goes into a wedding could be placed in much better (in my opinion) areas
I understand what you are saying as I am a perfectionist myself. But you have to accept that reality cannot compete with your imagination, and sometimes, if you go with the flow, it will surprise you in ways that you had not imagined. My best man and maid of honour gave me the best advice that I share with other couples...you will do everything that you can to plan and organize your wedding. When you get to the days of your wedding, just let go of the control, and leave it to the few trusted people around you to take care of the rest. Enjoy yourself, be the star of the show, smile, and relax. If minor things don't go according to plan, that's ok. No one but you will know, and it really isn't worth ruining your special day(s).

The first step to wedding planning is choosing the wedding planner and a budget. That’s what I did 16 years ago and it was so much fun. I just created a Pinterest board and sent it to her. I had a Caribbean beach wedding. So choose your location, get a planner, budget and it will flow so easily.

I’m currently in the same boat in terms of wedding planning🥲😄 well, I’ve never been mega interested in wedding planning but I definitely feel like the only girl who just can’t wait for the day to come so I’ll be done with planning! Definitely looking forward to the marriage 🥰more than the wedding day 😄😄 mine is November ! (Wedding venue, caterer and decorator are all sorted but outfits, hair and makeup need to be arranged🙃!)

So what is right for you. Don’t do it just for the guests. We did claridges which is beautiful and I tried to keep it simple but really thought out. It’s hard not to get swept away with it all. 😊

Take your time, maybe push it back by a year, so that you can take the time to know exactly what you want and where you want the wedding to be. This is a day that can be stressful, but it doesn't have to be to the point where you are stressed, procrastinating. Cause your procrastinating for a reason, there is always a reason to your thoughts & feelings. Do what's best for you hun.

Don’t get LASIK on ur eyes. I did and it dries them out so bad it’s unbearable. It’s not worth it. I’ve been living with chronic chronic chronic dry eye problems for the last 20 years and it only gets worse as you get older.

Get the twins to help, Eliza has shown some very intelligent fashion sense, so definitely rope her in to assist!! Create your own mood board, scrapbook and take it from there; Years ago a friend got me into It, It helps calm the nerves!
