@@SomeDudeWithAnExitSign , well, technically they did. The combo Exquisite-RG had an option for LED illumination of the face. Red models used a single channel of tower style LEDs in the very center of the legend, firing towards the edges. Greed models used two channels. I have a few red ones, if you would be interested in seeing what they look like.
My 1989 EG-2 has had some issues but I’ve been able to fix them. These are very nice units nonetheless
