I wanted to be married when I was younger and I hated being single, but now that I'm older I don't worry about marriage anymore. Sure it would be great if it happens, but life goes on and following and serving the Lord is what matters most.

It took me 20 plus years, not listening to my mother, several failed and utterly demoralizing relationships, kids getting hurt, I realized unequally yoked NEVER works. I thought I was going to remain single for a while, but God had other plans. Literally less than half a year from one very toxic relationship, that was very hard to walk away from, that hurt me and my sons, I met an AMAZING Christian woman. I used to read, let go, God has something better, but you need the faith to let go. Sometimes we hang on to the wrong things, that there is no room for the blessing. God literally sent me someone who has ALL the great qualities of all my past relationships, better in every way. Doesn’t hurt she is also super tall and gorgeous(even though that didn’t matter). Don’t give up!
God told me years ago to not chase anyone. Let them find you. In the meantime, serve me. I’m a widow for almost 10 years. I am happy and full with my church volunteerism. Singleness is not a curse, it’s a blessing. Right now, this is where I am and what I need. God is a sustainer. He’s the love of my life right now.

God will tell you whether he will bless you with singleness or marriage if you ask him. I want to honour and serve God in the partnership of marriage and I have a strong desire to meet the woman God has prepared and sanctified.

I have to disagree with you. I assume it depends on the person.
I love this video! Point number 1 was good. Faith is not the ability to know what’s going to happen in the future. I think that’s a great reminder. The hard part is always impatience. But I think if we could see everything God had for us then our lives would be boring what would be the point. And point number four is exciting. God could have someone even if we don’t mind being single and then things change when the right person comes along. Ultimately wherever we all are in wanting a relationship or not, we need to seek God(not just about relationship and marriage) and focus on the present.
This is all really good advice. I just want to enjoy my life, improve myself and grow in my devotion to Christ. Take life one step at a time. I trust that God will reveal His perfect plan for my life.

Mark im in between and im struggling. I want to be a father, yet im not ready, yet im concerned about my spouse being faithful to me or ruining my life. Idk if any makes sense.
You should also be concerned if you are ready for the responsability of marriage. If you have unhealed mental and spiritual wounds that could ruin a womans life you should worry about that...
Many are not married in this hour for many reasons... we are on the brink of a Great Tribulation, if you have not noticed the signs all around you, we are now in the beginning of Revelation 6, 2 or 3 seals have already been broken. God is preparing our souls for eternity, preparing us not to take theMark. Get in the ark and stay ready with your lamps full, continue to work on you and stay close to Jesus, nothing in this world matters, everything will turn upside down in the very near future, but if you have your lamps full, what is coming to the earth will not make your heart fail you. Stand in the gap for loved ones and the lost that they find Jesus, time is short. Lets not be those ppl like in Noahs days, that where marrying and giving into marriage and drinking and going on about their lives, or thinking the master has delayed his coming, and they where caught unaware when the Judgements came.
This is why many of us are not married or distracted with rships, its because of Gods love for us, he wants us close to him, aware of our surroundings and getting our lamps full like the 5 wise virgins.

I have always had the desire to be married and to be a father one day. I'm content on following God whether i'm married or single. Every now and then I worry i wont find love, but I'm confident in God's plan and that I hopefully will find that special someone someday.
This is something I'm struggling badly with. I truly want to be married so much in my life and don't feel called to singleness but I am ugly and I have Asperger's and afraid it's impossible for me since I can't attract any good women. I don't know what to do..

Honestly everyone should wanna live a single life especially in the generation we in
WHY does it HAVE to be God's WILL and absolutely NO exceptions if I'm EVER going to find/meet someone special?!??!?! Early in June I turned 50 and I'm FED UP, SICK and TIRED of ALWAYS looking through an outside window! It has NEVER been easy for me to SIMPLY find/meet a date or a girlfriend or someone special NO MATTER WHAT and I have TOLD God I do NOT appreciate this!!
I want to be married. I’m so scared that God will tell me no and just be single. Of course I love God and always want Him to be first but I want a husband so bad. I’m so lonely and have such a big heart to love.

After loving Jesus first, ask yourself if you can live without the person. If you can, stay single

So we are all to follow Christ first but after that, the person you decide to live with will make you super happy or super miserable. My point was if they are someone you can do without, why marry them

Most… I would say 95%+ of people are not called to singleness bc they still want relationships. I think most stuck in singleness are actually stuck in the after effects of sexual sin and choosing worldly pleasures over seeking a spouse. This is happening with a lot of women in modern day with careerism > motherhood.
I thought at first I can prove that I love God more if I can be single for Him but I realize I still have desires of marriage. Marriage is also from God and gives glory to Him.

@@ryokohonda4619 Yeah, most of us aren’t cut out for singleness. That’s why I can’t stand the “singleness is a gift” messaging found in modern Christianity.
@@TheSteflou64 That’s great. 👍 That doesn’t change the fact that most women in the last few decades that find themselves unhappily single do so because they were having a sex with men they weren’t married to when they were young… or they prioritized a career to the detriment of finding a godly husband.

I used to wonder. I've never dated, and I worked, actively went to church, biked, hiked, went to community activities, i was by no means a hermit. I'm not really beautiful but I'm not ugly or masculine in any way. But men still have not expressed much interest beyond friendship. And I did have a lot of male friends at one time, until they got married. It's like everything pointed towards being called to singleness. I was convinced. Now I no longer feel that way and I want that season to be over. But ironically at this point, I feel like I waited to long. Why does it feel like God is leading me out of the season of singleness at this age, at this stage of my life? I haven't met an eligible man in 20 years. 😂

The lay members of the church are being asked to help with the payments.
what is your opinion on someone who has the desire for children but not the desire for marriage? Someone who has always longed to be a parent, but never had the desire to have a spouse? Like for instance a single person who would like to adopt or foster children.
