- After all the hype and excitement, the Mugler x H&M collab launched on 11th May and I decided to get up nice and early to line up outside the H&M in Times Square and shop the collab in person. I'm going through the whole experience of shopping in-person, as well as the quality of the items in the collection and the pieces I ended up with...ENJOY!

I overslept that day and had given up on this collection.
I went to the store in the late evening anyways, but for a different thing, and by the changing rooms I found one single black mesh dress. Literally the only piece I wanted and there it was, for some weird reason missed by everyone as it was the last Mugler item. It got even weirder when I lined up to pay. Other customers would approach me like piranhas asking where I found it and if I really wanted to buy it. lol
Needless to say I bought the dress and it fits so beautifully.

In Japan they also used the wristband system. I went to the store after work (6pm) and basically there was nothing left except for the logo/sheer tshirts and some accs. However someone came to return the padded blazer (I was eying) that happened to be my size so I snatched it right away😂

I’m proud that more “expensive” brands are also collaborating with more affordable brands, like, inflation is real and everyone deserves to feel like a queen, no matter their salary.

I’m going to sound like a hater but it’s true. These pieces are going to have the life expectancy of 3 wash cycles and then they’ll rip. That’s just me being generous because from my experience. All of hm clothes feel like they last 15 minutes. I think it’s best and important to buy quality. Even if it’s slightly expensive.
@@TheWutangclan1995 Completely agree on the quality, but at same time there are lots of people who struggle with money, so maybe these are the people who are happy because they can buy something trendy while not spending an enormous amount of money. I prefer to buy better quality as well, also because maybe the workers aren’t abused like in some big companies, but I am on the lucky side, cause most of the times I can choose, which isn’t everybody’s case.
I also bought the collection at the store in Stockholm and I did not expect that designer Casey Cadwallader was going to be there🤯
if i would’ve gotten anything from the collection it definitely would’ve been the crystal mesh top you got, it’s stunning 😍
I logged on about 4 minutes late and all the big ticket items were sold out. But, I suspect there were limited quantities. The only item I wanted to try and get was the men’s star print gauze t-shirt. I got it with no problem. It was very smooth. I’m shocked to see people saying they had a bad experience because even now, the entire collection is not sold out.

By now I guess they fucked up the logistics. from what I could gather, each country ( or other categories, but definitely smaller units than usual ) had it's own stock, rather than say western europe, or soust east asia as is usual. actually not a bad idea! where they seemed to fuck up though was, each contingent was the same size, so you have cases where germany completely sold out, and in contrast the uk where popular stuff is sold out but defintely not everything. germany also having a pretty big gay scene which hyped up the collab to no end, mainstream costumers not so much, so maybe there should have been more stock.
BUT I'm just guessing, it would fit the availble info though
I only made it to the local store at 2 pm. They were like "bitch, what are you still doing here, it's all sold out!" Well, they were more polite than that, but that was the essence.

Everything I ordered is going right back. The dresses were so short you could see what I had for breakfast 😂
Oh no!!! I’m afraid of that. I passed on the dress with the detachable glove bc it looked so short. I got the neck one with longer sleeves, so hopefully that’s a tad bit longer.

@@Sunshine4 haha no they are all short, but definitely not as short as the black skirt, so depends on your level of comfort with this. However you made the right choice by passing up the glove dress, it was on my list, I tried it in the store and it was a mess, didn't look good at all, also looked a bit cheap, but I liked how it looked online. Yes it was short, but I'm ok with that length, it wasn't the problem, the whole construction and the zipper was.

So I bought the corset blazer online precisely at 9:02 am when the website loaded. I bought it through the rakuten shopping app (15% cash back) plus used a 15% off coupon code for a total with tax of $293 plus I will get $45ish back from rakuten. Can’t wait to see in person! I actually scored one of the bodysuits online yesterday morning! I was waiting for exactly 10AM eastern time, and I’m so excited for it to arrive!!
I was pleasantly surprised by the process in order to make everything civilized! Limiting the amount of pieces to buy is also great. We had the same experience here in Germany, but the queue wasn't as bad as the US ones 😅
However, I think at least half of the queue didn't get anything, cause everything was selling out so quickly and the selection in-store was not that great tbh.
Let's not talk about the online launch, cause the website was down for 15mins and only the app worked haha
Quality: Agree, the bodysuits aren't that great. Attending the pre-show event, half of the bodysuits the dancers were wearing were literally falling apart after one number.
I got the corset hoodie, but had to size down by two sizes, in order to get the waisted corset look of Mugler, otherwise it would have been too "casual". I've seen lots of people with size issues for that specific piece.

I shopped online in Australia and was surprised at how smooth it went. I was at my laptop when they launched and I managed to get all three items that I was after - the sparkly top being one of them! I can’t wait to see in real life, it looks fab on you x
I refrained from purchasing on this collaboration to save money but I love the pieces you got!
I panicked and bought a bodysuit in the wrong colour! I did get a dress which I’m excited to try. The UK app was an utter SHAMBLES. Couldn’t get onto the website until 10 past 9 so I was lucky to get what I did!
I got the two items I really wanted! The whole experience was so much fun! Such a shopping rush!

OMG - it was crazy online. I managed to get one of the dresses, the corset hoodie and star turtleneck. But I sat at my computer refreshing like a crazy woman waiting for it to launch. Cant wait for the pieces to come. I had the blazer in my cart but it sold out in my size before i could finish.

CassCass! U didnt know luxury costs more here in the States? Yes mam! We pay more for it here in America than anywhere else in the world. I am spending Christmas in Japan. I'm taking an empty piece of luggage with me for shopping because luxury is cheapest in Japan than anywhere else. So hopefully, I can get a few things I been wanting at awesome prices. Glad you were able to shop the Mugler -H&M collab! Enjoyed the video!

@@vivienkoles1880 I can certainly understand how disappointing it can be; I wasn't interested in buying from the Mugler collaboration but there was one with Target x Stoney Clover Lane and certain items were flying off the shelf. I do think it's a privilege, though, that we even get the opportunity to consider these sorts of things. Next time 🤗
It was a terrible experience online. I was ready to spend upwards of about $2,000 n only managed to spend $40. Hated that items in your cart could be snagged but anyone while shipping for more items.

I did my shopping online, but i just bought every piece separate )) as it was all the time system error in the App, but i would say i think it was enough of everything but i did it at 7:45 am))
@@irinadxb17 I went on the website at 8:30 on my phone, my computer, as well as my brothers to see which one gets in first when it went live at 10:05 but by the time I went to checkout I was only left w a blue Thierry mugler tee shirt 😭😭
SAME! That was so annoying. Every time I was ready to check-out it would say it was gone. Totally unfair.

This was interesting and informative. I hadn’t thought about how the high end designers use these collaborations to test the waters. Well done Cassie!
Great video as always! I expected the quality wouldn't be the same even though the designs are so similar. Also, I love the bit you mentioned at the end about the collab giving the designers a chance to test things out and also put the green coat into production because they didn't get enough orders for the mainline. They were really interesting points that I'd never considered!
Interesting to hear your experience on braving the (civilized) queue and the crystal top suits you so well! I am waiting on the one item I ordered online, and I hope it will fit well.
You said they didn’t have a lot of the pieces that you want it, but were they sold anywhere else? Were you able to get someone in London to buy them for you?
I managed to get the corset top online, and it has already shipped! I’m hoping and praying it fits as everything is sold out now. 😅 Great video as always!

Re quality - the jeans are actually made in Italy! 👌 black fabric is thick and stiching is good. I couldnt fit into them into store with all time constraints it gave me a bit of anxiety so I decided just to go for them, try at home etc its takes some effort to get into those pants but OMG once you are in your 🍑 looks just fabulous!! That was on my bucket list and I’m happy I got them :)

Thank you for fighting the crowds to review this for us! The online launched sometime in the afternoon for us in my country, and I was at work, so when I had a break to check on it again, most of the items were sold out in the common sizes. Based on your review though, I think I should just suck it up and buy regular mugler anyway 😅
I love that you keep saying mainline. Other influencers keep calling it real Mugler. Like it’s kinda a dig at people. Either way, I loved your video and your choices. I got the men’s jersey cut out and it came quick I love it 😂
I had a few items I was planning to buy. Logged in and ready to go at launch time. Once the page loaded, I couldn't add most of what I wanted to my cart. I kept getting two errors until I finally got the black/blue spiral jeans and the teardrop necklace, but by the time I hit checkout the items were apparently out of stock. Very sad that I only got the denim shirt 😢

The price differences are crazy. On the Australian website the corset jacket is $349aud. That would convert to about $230 us! I do really like it though!
It was only about US$ 158 in India.. but not many pieces were available though.

I’m a dude. Your channel is cool. I ordered the Men’s Denim Shirt. I’m impressed. The fact they went above and beyond to make the steel buttons say “Mugler Paris” makes me realized they didn’t cheap out. It costs to use branded buttons opposed to blanks if you really wanted to keep costs down during mass production.

I was more into the accessories because I wasn’t sure of the fitting of the clothes by shopping online. I wanted the brooch (but it sold out) and the star earrings. I got the earrings which I’m excited for. I was debating the blue/red/black panel dress but hadn’t seen anyone share real live photos wearing it.

Hi Cassie! I was at the time square location but didn’t get in until 9:20. The corset blazer and the crystal bodysuits were all gone. There was the wool skirt from archival collection; they also said we couldn’t do any returns!

Ah! I love the rundown of the in store experience! I signed onto the site about 20 minutes late, and could not get my hands on the crystal mesh top that I really wanted, but was able to nab the men’s boxy/oversized mesh star shirt in a Medium. I’m hoping it isn’t too oversized, but I’m sure I’ll be able to make it cute!

I shopped the Toronto location in Canada. Got to the store a 8am when it opened and they already had stopped giving out wristbands at that point. The jeans and corset pieces were gone before 9am. I did manage to get the men's velour star shirt which actually looks bomb tucked in a leather mini skirt and I managed to snag one of the women's black mesh cutout bodycon dresses. Unfortunately the online experience was not as successful. I saw other people in line being let into the site before me so all the key pieces / online exclusives were gone before the site let me in 7 minutes later...

Bought some things online and then went in store to check sizing and honestly so glad I did! Saw the crystal embellished hoodie and took it home immediately. Many of the online purchases will be returned however 😂
I love the corset blazer Cassie! I got one too from the collection as well as 7 other items 😳. After a 4 year hiatus from these collection I'm glad it's back and mulger was strong!!! The US is priced quite high. That same blazer in Australia is same price!

Being on-a-budget plus sized mum, this was my chance to experience Mugler. I prefer colours so my choices were limited. I ended up with a pink spiral dress bought online. I was hoping for star logo earrings but it sold out.
I never would’ve known or cared about this Collab if it had not been for you. So thank you for expanding my fashion horizons. I was interested in two items from this collection - the jeans and the bodysuit and somehow was able to get both online. I feel so lucky! I had my laptop open to the website and the app open on my phone ready at launch time. I was checked out on the app before the website even updated. So glad it did because obviously everything sold out in minutes. I did have to order the jeans a size up, so pray for me that things fit!
These jeans run smaller, I’m AU10 / i got into them but to wear it fully comfortable i need to loose 2 cm… which was my plan any way so just little extra motovation 😂😂
Update - H&M cancelled the jeans out of my order saying they are out of stock… and I’m FURIOUS

Cassie you got a subscription from me.. thank you for your videos .. it helped me prepare for the drop because it was like hunger games in South Africa .. I got the men’s denim jacket which there was only one of each size, corset hoodie, and the bolero gloves. I also got the necklace but returned it .. didn’t think it was worth it

I got the corseted hoodie, and the Denim jacket online. It was a mess online. Things would show as sold, out, and 20 minutes later they would show limited stock available. I basically stocked the items I wanted all morning until it was truly sold out
Cassie since the first time I saw you with these earrings I simply can't stop thinking about them. I went to therapy, took medication and it only got worse... I think I'll have to buy them.
