I am very impressed to getting such informative videos.kindly make some videos over Chemical batch reactor (SSR or glr) design , accessories, performance etc .And Thermopac heater / boiler . Thank you
Loved it. Amazing work. For improvement, can u add reference to where can we find the relevant graphs and tables used in the video. Referring to LMTD correction factor graph and Heat Transfer Coefficient Tables ( U )
Hello, nice video. My question is, is there any relation, that we can relate weight of the heat exchanger with the surface area (may be after calculating shell dia?
Sir i want to bring down the temperature of my syngas from 800°C to 500°C. What approached should I use and tell me if it is practical to bring temperature this much down?
of course it is possible… many options there use of heat exchangers using cold stream on other side, integration approach with heat integration and many more
Thanks for watching the video cautiously. But yes may b you're making a small mistake somewhere. Flowrate conversion : 450 L/m --->27 m3/hr ---> 23463 kg/hr ---> 6.5175 kg/s Cp : 2.1413 Kj/kg C Del T : 20 Q = m Cp Del T= 297 KW Hope this will help, let me know if still any confusion there.
No, If I will not assume U, Then how we gonna calculate available area, no pf tubes. Base on no of tube we calculate shell diameter Shell diameter is used in baffle spacing calculation and many more calculations are dependent on that. Basically this kern’s method is trail & error method.. Its not the straight forward method Hope that clears ur doubt
being honest, i have never came across such a beautiful video on shell and tube HE design. thanksss sir
Glad you liked it
Most important video and understanding very clearly thanks sir
Most welcome
Very informative and excellent 👌💐
Very good explanation Sir! I am a chemical engineering student and it really helped me.
Glad to hear that
I have never seen a video explaining STHE in such a simplified form❤
Glad it was helpful!
awesome video
Best video... explained very well ❤
Glad you liked it
best lecture sir

Thank you
Sure I will
Excellent...
Very Well Explained
Keep watching
Sir best video
Great sir. Thank you very much 🙏

exellent
Excellent video bhaiya.
Can you make video for design of pressure vessel
Yes I will
The way of explanation was good , but I still have a question that initally how can we decide the number of Tube side passages???
Ammzing video..
Pls make video on pumps
Regarding NPSH, performance already uploaded
Bro how to do thermal analysis for this heat exchanger
Hello, nice video. My question is, is there any relation, that we can relate weight of the heat exchanger with the surface area (may be after calculating shell dia?
Yes, that comes under mechanical designing.
Thank You bhaii❤
Sir please upload for phase change, how will select heat exchanger
Sir every day i am watching your youtube channel for you added english subtitle or not
sorry couldn’t
Sir paper mai agar Kern's method likhane ko aaye to yehi likhe usme?
Yes, This is the kern’s method.
Sir in case of phase change which type calculation are coming?
Equations will be different to calculate heat transfer coefficients ( Density of both phase will be included)

Can you please provide the ‘U’ value range for therminol D12
The other fluid??
You may start with 200-300 (If liquid liquid fluid there)
Hii sir,
How do you calculated inside tube dia(di)
Which is 0.013 how it is come??
@@aniketkambli9581part3 dekho....😊
tube inside diameter kaha se aaya?
Flow-7.5kg/s, specific heat-0.604, and delta 20 then how you calculated heat duty 279kw.
As per my calculation it’s 90kw only
Thanks for watching the video cautiously.
But yes may b you're making a small mistake somewhere.
Flowrate conversion : 450 L/m --->27 m3/hr ---> 23463 kg/hr ---> 6.5175 kg/s
Cp : 2.1413 Kj/kg C
Del T : 20
Q = m Cp Del T= 297 KW
Hope this will help, let me know if still any confusion there.
@@chintanconcept Sir why you have not multiply 1000 m3/hr to get kg/hr?
Sir any source to take out the value of Cp?
Plz share mi Heat exchanger design calculation Excel sheet
Will upload soon
if u assume U, it means all the calculations are just skipped including Reynol, Nusselt, prandtel and dettius bolteir equations
No, If I will not assume U, Then how we gonna calculate available area, no pf tubes.
Base on no of tube we calculate shell diameter
Shell diameter is used in baffle spacing calculation
and many more calculations are dependent on that.
Basically this kern’s method is trail & error method.. Its not the straight forward method
Hope that clears ur doubt
If you are here, means you forgot the above concept. So Better study😂
What if TEMA dont have U value for my specific fluid
Its a generalised value, like organic , inorganic, viscous fluid etc
