Put my new A52S in the water for the first time the past couple of days. Can't believe how well it works. Never used a sluice box before, but was able to get the A52S up and running in just a few minutes (watched this video a few times beforehand). Mostly very fine gold in the river I'm working, but it's catching it. I panned each mat separately for the first couple of cleanouts just to see where the gold was being caught. Didn't find any past the first two permanently attached mats. I thought long and hard about buying a less expensive sluice box, but I'm glad I decided to go with this one. No classifying, just shovel the material in. Definitely a big step up from just my shovel, screen and pan. Two more days left in this outing, can't wait to get back in the river in the morning!
This Spring I bought the Keene Supper Sluice Classifying Screen System for my Keene A52 Sluice. I works great. If you don't have a fast current to wash everything through with just shoveling I find that it works wonderful if I have at least 1/2" of water over the screen and a decent water flow to keep the riffles working. I shovel into the flare, run my hands through the material give it a push and over the screen and riffles it goes. No need for a separate classifier which is great. In time I'll get the A52S.
Great video on the A52S. I'm going to have to convert my A52 with the legs and top screen and grizzly. Watched some of the experimental vids on it's development too. Good fluid dynamics science! Maybe attend the Bash!
well done on picking up your garbage and a bit more,, sadly most people will not lower their standards to pick up other people's rubbish. I've been doing it for years.
I am looking for a sluice that will catch FINE gold. I am new to gold prospecting and only have small streams and creeks to work with and having a difficult time making my mind up
Reminds me of hired help they just don't get it, too much pidaling, get with it or go home that's the way I'd have to run it then I end up doing it myself, that's usually the way it works, they always seem to have the attitude that you're making money on well
You could have took the volume a little higher I mean people can't hear you is very good then not a great video if it's too loud they can always turn it down I so wish I had gone with you
The better sluice box does help. Before when I went sluicing on my own I could max out at around 4 to 5 buckets in a hour. With the A52S I could work 10 to 15 buckets in a hour. If my back would take it.

I want one of those Marlex float carts!
It is a cool cart just to expensive to make.
Awesome dry washer. Now find out where the gold is. That fancy Keene can't find gold where there is none!😅
I've had the standard A52 for afew years now is there a conversion kit to do this to that? Or am I best to start over?
Just bought me a MiniMax Combo! How can I get on the Yuba with y'all to find some shiny?
what about the heavy river flow, whether sluice can work optimally to catch gold mate?
