You want to keep fruit that needs to ripen with bananas, but away from apples (apples produce a gas that's a preservative, whereas bananas produce a gas that is a ripener)

We got snow, I am just way behind on posting. BUT the snow has melted and we are back into Fall around here, except on the mountains. The Dr. Appt did go well, I am glad I finally went and got a check up, it only took me 4 years! The celebration is coming up soon, I am working my way through all my footage. Too many fun things going on, it takes me a while to get them all edited. Have a wonderful week Tara!

This was a great haul. The produce is a disappointment for sure. Have you noticed any shortages there? We’re experiencing some. Everett is so excited about his house! I’d love to see it ! You’re very blessed to have parents celebrating such milestones. I’d like to see the preparations and the party! Enjoy your week.
Hello Anna! The produce has been such a disappointment. I am not sure what the shortages are exactly but I have not been able to find several things I had in my mind that I was going to get. I am sure it is only going to get worse before it gets better. What shortages are you seeing?? I will share the party soon!
@@ThisAlaskaLife They have put limits on water, toilet paper and paper products. Appliances are hard to find in stock. I have been stocking up on food just in case. Produce here has been hit and miss for awhile. Prices are getting really high. 1 apple is climbing towards 2.00. Crazy. Who knows where they’re going to get to. With cargo ships not being unloaded at a normal pace shortages will continue. We just have to hang in there. I love your videos and seeing you family.

Fingers crossed our washing machine will hold out another year, it has been acting up. I have been doing some stocking up myself, just enough to get us through if things really start to go bad. Hi Anna, not sure where you are located but same here in Australia on shortages, where are you experiencing them? Cars are a real problem,we are wanting to buy a brand new car for our soon to be driving Daughter it's a nightmare👍
@@brilliantbutblue hi, I am in Washington state. Trucks are a problem here. No chips to put in them so very few new ones are available. And the price is absolutely ridiculous. Over $80,000. Prices on food have really gone up as well. I’m not sure how long it will take to get better. Take care and I hope you can get the car soon!

Everett you are the cutest, asking if you need to think about the Halloween House so polite and being raised beautifully, he sure was happy with the treat, sitting in the cart with all the items around him l fondly remember my kids doing that, that's how memories are made, the simplest things are so fun!! Congratulations to the boys on their results they did so well, full credit to you Lauren for their academic achievements home schooling last year. Hope today is a happy day for you. ❤

Everett decided to get a chicken bake at the END of our shopping trip today and we got one for his brothers to share too. And yes, I finally didn't forget something. There were a few shopping trips in a row that I had a real hard time! I am so glad you enjoy the videos Linda, I am so grateful you are here to watch and comment! Everett is such a good helper! Although he will be upset when he can't ride in the trolley anymore. Happy anniversary to your inlaws, 50 is a big one! Not feeling in the Halloween spirit here - we don't personally celebrate it as we're Methodist, but also not many seem to have decorations up on their houses or in their windows yet. It's finally starting to feel like autumn here as the weather has changed almost a full month later than normal. Hope you're all keeping well 😊

Hi Michelle the Costco roast chickens are the exact same price in Australia also, the irony being that converted to USD ours are cheaper than yours👍
There are articles about how much money they "lose" on selling cheap hotdogs and chickens. In the end they get you to walk all the way through the store and you end up picking up $50 worth of other stuff. It was interesting to read the article in the past though about the true cost of the chickens. It's a huge marketing cost to Costco, but they must figure it is worth it.
@@markhamm2135 : My Miss teen has just spent 2yrs studying Business Management/Marketing the "cheap" hot dog is actually a very lucrative marketing strategy and features in her text books!!! She could probably tell us more than we need to know about Costco marketing but l agree with you everything is strategic placement 👍

Dang; I am so jealous! I have never seen Kewpie (pronounced Q-pee, like the doll on the front) at my Costco and it's the only mayonnaise I eat. It is the best. I either have to order it online or drive 80 miles round trip in Seattle traffic to get it from a Japanese grocery store and it's so expensive. Your Costco had it for a great price.

If you don't like Kewpie Mayonnaise we can't be friends🤣 Where have you been hibernating all these years it's the best!! When you buy Sushi rolls that's what's inside with the filling, it's fantastic on Salmon, lm salivating just thinking about it, you are going to laugh but we have seperate Mayo for different meals so we have 3 or 4 on the go at once one being homemade my Grandma's recipe 👍

Hello Michelle, yes my cute little Robot! Have you tried the Japanese Mayo? I was waiting to run out before I tried it....
It’s good the difference is it’s made with only the egg yolk instead of the whole egg. It also has msg (mono sodium glutamate) popular in Chinese foods it heightens the flavor profile becareful some people experience headaches after eating things with it in it but if y’all like Chinese food and you have no reactions to that then it should be fine. Perhaps that brand doesn’t even have it in it. But you can use it the same way you use any Mayo. Japanese people even put it in their eggs before scrambling them a lot of ideas online.
