I bought this bike about three months ago and still grinning. It is my 4th mountain bike and I've gone back to the hardtail. Basic, straight forward and FUN! Your description of what this bike has to offer is bang on! I love this bike.
Got one in Dec - Fantastic bike. My first new bike in 17 years and have to agree the dropper post and 1x are the biggest innovations in that time. I was worried it would be heavy and hard work on the climbs but just goes up.
Was looking for a Trek Roscoe 7 (or 8), but another LBS had this one. I saw it today and it checks all the boxes (and for about $150 less than the Trek), but the only thing that makes my eye twitch are the external cables. Don’t really know why they can’t do the cables internal when all the other assets are there. Not a deal-breaker by any means, but for ~$1500, I’d think it’d be a no-brained to route the cables internally.
Honzo has a shorter tail :-) I have the Lava dome, it is not the same geometry, but the most noticeable is the shorter chainstays. Honzo is more "poppy"
other models have it, but customers wanted the Honzo with external, so Kona keeps it that way. It is easily serviceable, and I think many Honzo users like to tinker with their bikes.

So excited i just ordered my Honzo!!
I bought this back in october, so far I’m loving it, it’s my first actual mountain bike, cheers 🥂
Yup. Getting 2023 honzo for 1100 euros. Think its a pretty good deal. Btw can i replace kahuna rear QR with thru axel? ,: )
Great video, do you have any experience with32 or 34T? I mean the bike frame, and its structure Best regards.
On the website the bike looks like a light gold for the frame color. In the video it looks silver haha. Which one is it in person?
Real color is pewter/champagne. Silver with a hint of gold. Very cool and not bling at all.
I'm 66 years old,,,,,, I have a Kona xc32 what do you think of value of it is, 99.9 condition, getting too old to ride.
Tbh I didn't know it came in 29, that's cool.
The regular hozo does the big honzo is a 27.5
Love my Kona.
Anyone know how wide of a tire can fit in the rear?
Is the Honzo DL worth the extra $1k?
Hi, can you do kona big honzo dl 2022?
No internal cable routing in 2022??
I love mine. Really cool bike.
Do you happen to know what’s the maximum tire width you can put on that frame/fork?
@@matthewkuhl79 are you sure? 2,4 is quite tight already? I couldn’t find any info on Kona’s website. Only for the rockshox fork…
This year's update will be 2.5 in the front and 2.4 in the rear. I run a fox 36.
would you say this bike is comfortable for long all day adventure rides, besides using a gravel bike obviously
Yes
This vs the kahuna? Aside.from dropper n fork

Is this frame Quick Release?
Nope
Seat tube? Chainstay? Reach on a medium? If anyone knows thanks
Wish it was internal cable routing external is ugly !

1x is normal now brother. Entry level bike at the lbs for 550. (Junk) lol but,Just sayin🤙
Strange decision about frame color. 2020 and 2021 was nice. 2022 shit color. Not interesting at all. Sad.
it looks great in person, but it is more conservative than last years, so not for everyone I guess
Борода, ты так дропер сломаешь.
