Today, I get into Tanzania! (Eventually) Across some of the most dangerous "roads" I've ever encountered. Sometimes there's a road, other times there isn't, but the speed limit is still 120kph... they just don't tell you when it's going to end suddenly.
I guess this is the reason I see some ridiculous truck and train crashes...

Anyway, come along for this part of the trip! It's a bit good. I decided to avoid the popular Zambia Tanzania border crossing because of stories of corruption and bribes, and decided to take the scenic route, bringing me to the isolated northwest corner of Zambia, and entering the unknown. Best. Choice. Ever...

I crossed thru Tunduma border a few days ago and it was not a problem
that's good to hear. I've read about horror stories from others. I don't regret going to the west side though, it was amazing.

Great stuff. It would have been cool to go through western uganda, then cut across to kenya. Its not called the pearl of africa for nothing 😉
It would have been great, but various delays made it difficult for me to plan non-VOA countries. Uganda seems to be e-visa only. Maybe next time!
