I bought a Donnay by accident. I was suffering from tennis elbow and the item was on a big discount. I saw the specs stated it was friendly to elbow and why not gave it a try. I can confirm one thing is true. It is genuinely friendly to your elbow. Very obvious. I am very happy with this buy as the most important thing now is to cure my tennis elbow.
My pro shop carried some Donnay frames in 2018, and sadly they were the lowest quality frames I’ve ever encountered, similar to cheap aluminum frames. The paint job was completely messed up, mislabeled, frames cracked before even being strung, and ultimately played awful!!! USA customer service was even worse, my friend ordered some demos and they charged him twice and he was never able to get his money back. It’s sad because Donnay was amazing brand in the 90s, so I hope for 2022 they are better
Oh-oh your new collab has set the bar very high now. Our expectations are way up now for you Jonas! I dig my Donnay Penta 97, but did move on to the Angell 18/20 TC95 and enjoyed the extra power. I considered trying the Formula 100, so nice to hear about the 100 inch version of the Pro
Hi ProKennex has a unibody design, too. When I change the base grip, it just looks very sleek. And seems to work in my Q5 light. It is quite comfortable and powerful.
I purchased the Angell ASI 2.0 which like the Donnays has a low swing weight and low stiffness. I found it had good comfort, consistency but no power. How do the new Donnay’s compare? You have reviewed both. I am looking for an arm friendly racket that has some power. My level is 3.5.
It may be time to try Donnay again. The original Formula 100 was too heavy. I had an extended version of a thin beam that was a rocket launcher. Right now I am using a head extreme mp but my wrist hurts after I play.
@@Tennisnerd Hey Jonas, any update on the Octa Core Unibodies? Would love to see how you feel they compare to the Hexa Core. Played tennis earlier this week and one of the double partners brought a couple All Wood Hexacores. After our match, he let me stay after and hit with them. It felt great rallying, but I didn't play a match or anything, so while interested... not sure if I want to switch from my Pro Staffs yet. I will say that the court down below us stopped their lesson and watched us rally for a couple minutes. I think it might have been the sound from the racquets. They had a great pop. Not sure if it was the racquet or his natural gut setup, but it was thunderous to say the least.
There is an overgrip on there, I think he meant that he enjoys the raw and hard feel and the more defined bevels that results from using a leather grip
A very nice alternative to the bulk of arm-killing frames that are still out there, but unfortunately for us in the States, Donnay's current USA distributor doesn't appear to have the best reputation for customer service, or business ethics in general, which is a shame, and a sure-fire way to kill their potential. Fingers crossed that they clean up their act here in the States soon enough.
All true. After using donnay for years, i had enough of the quality and service issues, even though they are great playing racquets. I switched to the Dunlop sx300. A perfect racquet.
@@Tennisnerd thank you,too much for me, I think 22 kg may be ok for me.Actualy I string my Donnay formula 100 Pentacore with Wilson revolve spin at 22 kg and is fine but now I wanna try this MSV jewell . I always follow your review very amazing job, thank you.
Yeah.. where can I find Donnay rackets? I played with the Donnay Pro One in the 90s and I have all 4 versions of the Pro One. Wish I could get my hands on one of the new Donnays to try them out.
That intro tho 😮 production quality going through the roof 🤙🏻
All the credit goes to Irakli from Nordic Dots!
Holy shit Jones this production quality is crazy!
Thanks amigo

Leather grip all the way with an overgrip ( gamma pro, Dunlop you sweat) is my set up
Doesn't the overgrip defeat the purpose of the leather grip?

Great to get someone else opinion on the Donnay racquet. How soon will we see your best racquets of 2022?
I will do a bit of a countdown and aim to publish it in December, I have one or two reviews I want to finish first...
@@Tennisnerd can't wait to see it!
Is Donnay sold in the USA? Many years ago, they used to be.
Yeah
the intro was 🔥
So this is the Donnay Formula. Jonas, have you tried the Octa unibody yet?
Where can I get one of these? I cannot find in the net. Help would be very much appreciated!
Contact him on @karladrian via Instagram and he can hopefully help you out
i got the donnay allwood and like it a lot initially, need to try it out some more, feels like wood which i grew up playing with (I am old :)
What model does he use and is it still available to buy?

I would say this has better power, the swing weight of Asi is too low. Another very good choice is the HEAD Extreme Team. Low stiffness, high power.
It may be time to try Donnay again. The original Formula 100 was too heavy. I had an extended version of a thin beam that was a rocket launcher. Right now I am using a head extreme mp but my wrist hurts after I play.
Jonas, any guidance on how to demo a Donnay in the States?
Hi Jonas, how did this compare to the various prince phantom 100s you have tried? Sounds like they are targeting similar players with these racquets.
Nice video production on this one. 👍
Glad you liked it!

How so low swing weight with that static weight? Are both strung weights?
Yes, strung
He claims he feels the leather grip underneath the overgrip? Or is the leather grip white?
There is an overgrip on there, I think he meant that he enjoys the raw and hard feel and the more defined bevels that results from using a leather grip
Yes, exactly!
He uses leather grip + overgrip

Do you think the vcore 95 2021 can work for an attacking player?
Thanks for the videos! ❤
Yes, it can - it is a nice racquet
Very suitable for attacking, in fact its not really perfect for defense or heavy spin lol
sheesh that intro was fire
Thanks! Wish I could say it was my handiwork :)
What tension should you string the MSV focus hex 1,30
Depends on what you like, Karl uses 23 kg if I remember correctly

I might need to try one of those out. Does Adrian sell/ship them?

Are the listed specs strung or unstrung? Thanks
Strung
I need this😩
Donnay Is known for this
The intro 🤩
Amazing
Dope ass intro 🔥🔥🔥
strung SW is too low
It’s what it is
This looks like a gravity pro “wannabe “ - head size, flex. No?
Beam is quit thick in the middle, 27mm ??
Yeah but feels fast
313 swing weight, probably too low for me. I hit with 335 SW Head Speed Pro, pretty stable
@@K4R3N yikes - too low for me also. I will stick to boom and gravity.
Donnay currently is selling some of their frames buy one and get one free, so I am going to give their Formula Hexacore 100's a try!

Formula 100 is great playing racquet. But donnay quality control and customer service is not up to standards of any other manufacturers.
