Hove that flower and love to knit and crochet the most. I am 79 AND HAVE MACULAR DEGENERATION BUT CAN STILL CROCHET. LOVE LOVE WATCHING YOU AND REWATCH YOU VERY ALL DAY AND NIGHT IF I CAN'T SLEEP . THANK YOU FOR BEING SO SPPECIAL.
Very nice guys and yes, it’s hard to go slower and make a nice project. Every hand skill has a rhythm to it and once you find your own rhythm, it’s difficult to do otherwise. Loved the video and pattern to join flowers. 👍
I am pleased i found this episode as I have only last evening purchased 3 of your patterns so the guidance to 'look/study' the chart before reading the instructions is really timely. Thank you for such a very interesting and informative channel.
My Great Grandmother Westvik taught me to crochet. She was from Norway. She joined by crocheting. I found that interesting. Love listening to you. My brain understood when you spoke Norwegian. I subscribed. Very pleased you showed on my suggested list
I love the colorway of the blanket and the placement. I will get the pattern because you have included a CHART and it is a crochet as you go project instead of sewing the flowers together, Yay. I really like how your design really fills in the gaps between the flowers. I can't wait to make this.
Hello Arne and Carlos. Love the shirt Arne. Really pretty. The flower throw is gorgeous and I love how you join the flowers together. Once again another bright and breezy tutorial and lots of fun. Keep safe. See you on Wednesday. Lol Jacqui Seahouses UK x
Beautiful flowers. Funny too. Thanks plus....I just tripped over a picture of prince charles bedroom. They have a knitted bedspread it is interesting to say the least. Thanks again...
I watched the video and looked at the chart. I get it! I'm still making flowers but when I get to the joining I feel confident that it will be easy to do. This join is very pretty and I can't wait for the finished blanket. Thank you for all the beautiful projects.
I am sitting in front of the screen crocheting the flowers. I use sock yarn which makes the flowers a bit smaller. It is a wonderful pattern and I am glad I bought it ( in fact, I bought all 3 blanket patterns and will do them one by one. Lots to do.). Thank you for showing.
Hello guys!! I love to see Arne when he is crocheting like a machine!! Haha!! I crochet at the same speed. It's hard to do it slower. Thank you for the great video. Love from Argentina 🌻
You are right, charts are the best way to ‘see’ what your pattern is supposed to look like. Your blanket patterns are so beautiful, I hope to make one someday.
I love the Hedvig blanket. I was surprised how quickly I was able to crochet the flowers. Now I need to figure out my color layout and stitch it all together. Thank you for the beautiful design.
Bought pattern today ✅ Yarn✅ Prym needles ✅ Ready for knit along✅ After New Years thinking about making placemats but changing colors to look like sunflowers. Yours are magnificent.
Thanks guys! I thought I had this from reading the instructions and looking at the charts, but the video was helpful to see where the single crochets at the base of the petals should go (one on each side of the slip stitch.)
I have to tell you, I've been crocheting since I was 12yrs old and never knew there were charts till I found your flower patterns. The charts are SO much easier to follow than all those words! Thank-you! 😍 Thank-you! 😍 Thank-you! 😍
I'm so excited to purchase your 3 blanket patterns. I especially love your faces shown with the Hedvig afghan in the car! I must say, your smiles are contagious! :)
Than you for the video. The afghan is very beautiful. I think Arne should crochet at a rate that is comfortable for him, since viewers can adjust the speed with the settings.
I'm going to make the flowers in White and red with pink/yellow centers, joined with forest green for the Holidays.I think they look like Pointsettias. Arne is a wonderful crochet artist. Hugs to you both.🥰🥰
My daughter feels so validated by the way Arne holds the crochet hook! I taught her my way but she just found her own way to hold it and she was glad to see he does the same! He sure is speedy!! I did have fun playing with the playback speed though! And now you've inspired me to go and finally figure out crochet charts! I've been crocheting most of my life but I've avoided them! But no more! Thanks for another inspiring week!
Thanks for adding the joining tutorial. This is my first crochet project, and this week I finally started weaving in the ends. Charts really are the secret to success, I don’t speak crochet, so I need symbols.
Those flowers are great to take along. Ideal WIP!.. If you have to wait somewhere then you can make the flowers and once you get home.. you can do the green leaves part and crochet everything together into a blanket.
The placemat with the single color reminded me of daffodils, one of my favorite flowers. Daffodils for spring, roses for summer, chrysantemums for fall and poinsettia (or snowflakes) for winter. Bith the throw and placemats are lovely. Great tip about reading the chart.
Not to make anyone envious, but the new Christmas bauble designs are beautiful! I have knitted December 4th already and am now trying to choose the next one to knit. Thank you for putting these out early since I don't have a lot of free time this time of year. I hope to have enough knitted by Christmas to make the tree pop. Oh, and Arne you are fine with the speed. I am a beginner at crocheting and because you show everything in a short time-frame, it helps me figure out how to put things together. Awesome job!
The colour combination is stunning ❤️I have been crocheting again this year and I am in love with the craft more and more . I also prefer looking at charts /drawings to reading plain texts.
Yeah! Christmas balls I cannot wait to start them. Great video today. I have this pattern. For me it is easier to follow the chart in crochet. Thank you gentlemen!
Beautiful designs and inspiring to learn crochet. Tip for BEGINNER crocheters: To avoid frustration find someone else to learn from until you're an advanced beginner, then advance to Arne and Carlos. Slow motion doesn't always function.
That is great advice, and immediately reminded me of Tamara at mooglyblog.com. She has many tutorials that are very beginner-friendly, using big yarn and big hooks, and moving at a leisurely pace! Then of course when you feel confident you can throw yourself into a big colorful Arne & Carlos flower throw! I will agree with Carlos that, especially in crochet, working from the chart is so much better and more fun than reading all those words.
While you worked on your placemat, I worked on my first Christmas ball!! Hope to finish it today. Thanks for all your efforts creating your podcasts. I love them.
The HEDVIG afghan colors are gorgeous! Love that you're always thinking outside the box. The beautiful placemat, I believe that's where I'll start after the holidays. For now, I want to work on the Christmas Balls.
About the crochet language: I had to learn it in Amerikan english comming from speaking German. Single, double or tripple crochet indicates how many times you bring the yarn through 2 loops. Hope this helps.
Beautiful, I’m really excited to start this throw. Have to finish my primrose throw first! I love all the variations you can use these flowers for. All of my primrose mistakes have become adorable coasters. I’m imagining creating place mats and table runners with these flowers too. As a new beginner, I initially relied heavily on using the chart to verify that I was interpreting the written instructions. Of course your videos are immensely helpful for us newbies who are figuring out the stitches too! Thanks so much for your content and beautiful patterns.
Great design after my sweater is finished I may just give this a try. Love you guys great videos, very helpful. Keep safe in Norway and I hope you are feeling much better now.
Thank you, this was very helpful. =) The chart (which I hadn't received but you kindly re-sent) was helpful; just reading the instructions without the chart made it a mystery. I kind of broke it down further for myself and numbered the steps with points on the chart so that my aging mind would be less befuddled the first time around. Cheers!
Dear Arne and Carlos, seeing how the flower joining is done makes it more understandable. I have always been daunted by charts, but I am starting to knit your blanket squares. I think it’s a bit like the difference between playing music by ear, or learning a tune from the written notes....it happens in different parts of the brain. I enjoyed watching this tutorial, thank you both.
You're right, it looks so complicated and it's not ! I'm trying to get better at reading charts, I hope I have a "Eureka ! " moment...lol Have a lovely week
The more I watch, the more I personally love the primrose throw! I'm not a crocheter, and the primrose throw is my speed -- slower than a certain Norwegian crocheter 👓 😃
Ah, hedvig!!!! Astri is still waiting for some last finishing touches... And then, finally, hedvig!!!! I have had the yarn for it since last summer (schachenmayr merino, as recommended!), and I am soooo looking forward to starting in January, after all the sock and sweater knitting for xmas. It will certainly be my start into an early spring with lots of happy hippie feeling. I so love your designs.
Fast but very clear. Thanks
I love the idea of crocheting them together instead of sewing them together. Thanks for the video.
I smile and am cheered up watching you two chat.
Great!
😂😊🤣😂 Love the saying “everything is easy when you know how “ Thanks you for sharing 👍❤️😊
You are welcome!
Very nice guys and yes, it’s hard to go slower and make a nice project. Every hand skill has a rhythm to it and once you find your own rhythm, it’s difficult to do otherwise. Loved the video and pattern to join flowers. 👍
Lovely placemat so happy-go-lucky.
Very pretty projects, fellas, as usual ! And it's always enjoyable spending some time w/you.
Thank you for coming over!
I am pleased i found this episode as I have only last evening purchased 3 of your patterns so the guidance to 'look/study' the chart before reading the instructions is really timely. Thank you for such a very interesting and informative channel.
such a lovely design, I'm smitten.
Thank you!
Me encanta la combinacion de colores, muy buen gusto!!!
😃
Thanks for the tip on the video speed. That’s very helpful. I’m still a beginner, so for now I will just have to aspire to work as quickly as Arne.🙂
You are welcome!
My Great Grandmother Westvik taught me to crochet. She was from Norway. She joined by crocheting. I found that interesting. Love listening to you. My brain understood when you spoke Norwegian. I subscribed. Very pleased you showed on my suggested list
Thank you for subscribing and welcome to our channel Marlene!
I have started making the flowers using my leftover wool. It is a very easy pattern to follow.
Thank you!
Just lovely! Thank you.
Two people . I must admit ; I love the placement. The bun cinnamon roll is what I was looking for.
The blanket is so beautiful. Amazing design❤😃🇩🇰
Thank you!
Thank you, beautiful project. ❤️✨🌈✝️☀️
Thank you!
Arne is fast but I definitely understand what he is doing. I love watching. It’s hard to chain slow. I think I chain fast too!
I love the colorway of the blanket and the placement. I will get the pattern because you have included a CHART and it is a crochet as you go project instead of sewing the flowers together, Yay. I really like how your design really fills in the gaps between the flowers. I can't wait to make this.
Loved all your Sunday chats. I will not be bored this winter at all Thank You Sweet Men💝
Hello Arne and Carlos. Love the shirt Arne. Really pretty.
The flower throw is gorgeous and I love how you join the flowers together.
Once again another bright and breezy tutorial and lots of fun.
Keep safe. See you on Wednesday.

Beautiful flowers. Funny too. Thanks plus....I just tripped over a picture of prince charles bedroom. They have a knitted bedspread it is interesting to say the least. Thanks again...
Oh thank you! Just what I needed to bring my Hedvig flowers together.
You are awesome Arne
Thank you!
Thank you boys , have a beautiful week x x x x x
I love watching you on Sunday evenings while I eat Norwegian waffles for supper!
I watched the video and looked at the chart. I get it! I'm still making flowers but when I get to the joining I feel confident that it will be easy to do. This join is very pretty and I can't wait for the finished blanket. Thank you for all the beautiful projects.

Hello guys!! I love to see Arne when he is crocheting like a machine!! Haha!! I crochet at the same speed. It's hard to do it slower. Thank you for the great video. Love from Argentina 🌻
You are welcome!
The two of you both did a wonderful job with the crazy crochet lingo!!!! These petals are just simply divine!
This is the most difficult, thanks for sharing. You both are the best! Until wednesday!
See you Wednesday!
I bought the new Christmas balls pattern today. I have a favorite, but I won't say which one it is. They're all beautiful.
Thank you David!
Bought pattern today ✅

After New Years thinking about making placemats but changing colors to look like sunflowers. Yours are magnificent.
Did not get an email even though l signed up by the 8th. Still coming?
I just bought the new Christmas Balls ! So excited !
That's gorgeous 😍
Thanks guys! I thought I had this from reading the instructions and looking at the charts, but the video was helpful to see where the single crochets at the base of the petals should go (one on each side of the slip stitch.)
Glad to hear that it was useful!
As a new crocheter, I love the charts. So much better than the written instructions. Thanks for another great video!
Stunning! I'm going to start one for my daughter in-law
We hope she likes it!
Hi,wow that throw is beautiful!
Thank you!
Hi, it's a lovely blanket. Getting some more yarn. Stay safe..🤗🤗
Wow, that is such a pretty design.
Thank you!
I have to tell you, I've been crocheting since I was 12yrs old and never knew there were charts till I found your flower patterns. The charts are SO much easier to follow than all those words! Thank-you! 😍 Thank-you! 😍 Thank-you! 😍

That throw is absolutely gorgeous 🥰
I'm so excited to purchase your 3 blanket patterns. I especially love your faces shown with the Hedvig afghan in the car! I must say, your smiles are contagious! :)
Love your beautiful flower crocheted placemat 🤩
Thank you!
Wow the blanket is beautiful and so is the placemat. Thank you for this tutorial. Always excited to watch your videos.
this is great something I can do.. primrose stitch is nice, just made a hat using the primrose.. beautiful
Hello Arne and Carlos. I love the colours that you have chosen for your placemats xxx
Hugs to you both.🥰🥰
🤗
I love the place mat, seeing it in sunflower colors. ❤👍 thank you for the video.😘
You are welcome!
Your colors are also very beautiful indeed , I didn't mean that yours are not nice. 😳
My daughter feels so validated by the way Arne holds the crochet hook! I taught her my way but she just found her own way to hold it and she was glad to see he does the same! He sure is speedy!! Wow who knew that there was English English instructions vs American English instructions.......love the video
Thank you!
your blankets are very beautiful , kind regards.
Thank you!
I love the colors of this placemat, it looks very retro
Thanks for adding the joining tutorial. This is my first crochet project, and this week I finally started weaving in the ends. Charts really are the secret to success, I don’t speak crochet, so I need symbols.
You are fabulous! Thanks for this, and looking forward to Wednesday!
Thank you Sophia!
Those flowers are great to take along. Ideal WIP!.. If you have to wait somewhere then you can make the flowers and once you get home.. you can do the green leaves part and crochet everything together into a blanket.
The placemat is gorgeous as is the blanket!

Wow looks very pretty Arne&Carlos 😀

Such a great idea!

Beautiful, I enjoy the look and the bright colors. I’m not a crocheter but I enjoy yours!
Thank you!
Yup.. I must still do the Hedvig blanket. I owe it to myself.
A blanket with actually my name on it! 🤩🤪😅
While you worked on your placemat, I worked on my first Christmas ball!! Hope to finish it today. Thanks for all your efforts creating your podcasts. I love them.
Hi Arne and jCarlos. Hope you both are doing well. Arne is speedy gonzales. It looks beautiful.
I also bought the Christmas Balls today now I just need to go get the yarn
So pretty, I just count as Arne is chaining.
Great!
The HEDVIG afghan colors are gorgeous! Love that you're always thinking outside the box. The beautiful placemat, I believe that's where I'll start after the holidays. For now, I want to work on the Christmas Balls.
Have fun!
I am working on Astri right now. When I finish my next adventure will be Hedvig. Both are so beautiful. Honestly the charts are fantastic. Thank you.
You are welcome Linda.

Good to know!
