You can try drama by aespa?
Thank you Nik for letting us be a part of this sick tune! You rock!! And thank you all for the nice comments 🤗🥰
Totally rocked this track. Awesome job.
I mean you fucking go hard, once I find I find just the song I'll probably check out your stuff cuz you're a really good vocalist
I was wondering why you looked so familiar then I heard the chorus, yeah that's classic Ankor.
Okay, I know nothing about Ankor but now I'm invested. A band in Spain, with a singer from the UK, but she can speak Korean and English. This is interesting.
I'm a huge fan. You have been going hard for a while now. I introduced your music to my girlfriend. She loves it. Great job on this one!
Nik, please do more of K-pop songs! I wanna convert K-pop fans into metalhead through your covers
I wasn't expecting getting a vocalist for the recreation, but man this is awesome! Beautiful work Nik!
K pop girl band Dreamcatcher is also quite solid, I mean okay, my statement might trigger some but I can see the possibility for kpop metal hybrid.
After all this time casually watching, This got my sub hard! Great work!
id be so interested in seeing if you could turn some twice into some epic metal music!
Kpop fan and metal head this version is great
this is amazing honestly
Le serrafim's Eve, Psyche and Bluebeard would be an ideal track to turn into metal. It has such a good bounce and tasty 808s.
there are a lot of kpop metal covers out there
Nik, daughter is a HUGE K-pop fan and tolerates my love for metal. I played this for her and she instantly put it on her playlist. Great work as always, sir!! 🤘
@xNikNocturnalok bot nik
Nik bringing worlds together ❤
Nik out here doing Gods work!
im sorry for your loss good sir, i couldnt imagine the pain of having a child into kpop
@@Snippyyy Ahh, that's what earbuds are for.
Dreamcatcher probably the best example that you can Rock & Metal in K-Pop industry, although both genre not that well received in mainstream. Good to see more and more Rock influence Kpop group, band & soloist join the industry. Like Dreamcatcher, Rolling Quartz, Day6, Xdinary Heroes, Rockit Girl and Pink Fantasy (although not all their title track is Rock genre) and so on.
As a Kpop and Metal fan, this brought joy to my heart! Fantastic stuff!
Same, Fearnot here!🤘
We do exist
I didn't expect to hear or see someone who likes both Genre...but I can tell that you and someone out there who likes both Metal and Kpop, you have a good taste of Music 🤘🔥
This is why I love dreamcatcher. They're a great blend of both
Excited for the new Crown Magnetar and Stray Kids coming up. AOTY contenders so far for me are Sleep Token, Invent Animate, and IVE
It blows me away how consistent Nik is. Every time he puts one of these songs out it never fails to be a banger its crazy how good of a songwriter he is.
Technically he's not doing the songwriting, he's doing the arranging! He's phenomenal at arranging tracks in metal styles (he's a good songwriter too, but that's not what's going on here - tis a different skill). :D
It sounded amazing just needed more high ends and a solo maybe but for a throw together project it's dope af
@@sVieira151 he also has good taste in melody so he can pick out songs that are catchy and work in other contexts
Damn, this vocalist nailed this.
Go listen prisoner, one of my favorites songs
@@paualamodaras7611 Don't forget Oblivion ;)
@@paualamodaras7611yo prisoner is craaaazy good and their newest is also pretty good (darkbeat)
This is why I like DREAMCATCHER soo much. They mix in metal with their kpop music. Check em out if you havent already!
I was gonna comment this hehe!! Boca is a great example of this 🤌
Hi my fellow Somnia, their title track mainly not Metal, but more to Pop Rock/ J-Rock influence...however, they do have Metal sound in Japanese track...
Heard some rock in their tracks, no metal.
Me looking for this comment
@@alebone_ Ok 'No More' is metal and pretty good actually. Makes me think of a Korean Nightwish.
I'm a Korean metalhead that literally just binged on Ankor for the past two hours after just discovering them and now this comes out. I was super excited for this full song but holy shiet.. my worlds have collided and it's freaking surreal. Jessie was amazing and she totally nailed it. Another banger🤘🏻killing it as always
Jessie is such freaking treasure. The vocals, the language EVERYTHING. It's soooo good.
dude i just wanted to comment that this vocals were awesome man, cleans, shouts , everything on point, sheeeesh
Shout out to Jessie Williams! Had to go back to see who the singer was.
i was amazed when she did growls... she did "show must go on" with a gorgeous voice :D
Someone show this man some Dreamcatcher. Sick song here, too.
I think he deliberately ignored the dreamcatcher it's not possible for the guy to be really covered up, he's skilled in music it would be easy to find the dreamcatcher while researching influences.
Hopefully... one day... he'll see it and react to them. 🥲
Everything sounds better in metal 🤟
for sure
Many things, yes, but not everything. I dare any producer or musician on the planet to make James Bond themes sound better in metal...or Taemin's songs. He basically has a legendary status in South Korea, and is considered the "Michael Jackson of K-pop". It sounds very cliche, but listen to 10 seconds from the choruses of 'WANT' or 'Criminal', the Jacko influence is very intense, especially when you see him dance.
@@shadxwslash44James bond metal would go hard as fuck
There's a surprisingly large amount of metal fans who also listen to kpop (myself included) and this is beyond sick. Love it!
meet the kpop group dreamcatcher then , they have some tracks that mix metal with kpop
@@juliodeukae i already listen to dreamcatcher, but thank you for the rec
VISION by dreamcatcher is already half metal but it would be cool to see a full blown metal cover of it.
No more by Dreamcatcher is an absolute metal, no kidding
@@husainianuar3645 Oh my god! I just listened to it now. It’s full on metal! Thanks!
@@husainianuar3645 it's by far their hardest track, but it's also written in japanese, so technically it's not even kpop (or k-metal idk)
As a Fearnot ( Le Sserafim fan) and a metalhead this made my day, my week, this was everything!!!! Instantly added to my playlist
so true
I loved this! Ankor was perfect for this. Jessie is amazing 💙
Thank you🤗🙏🏼
Would be cool to see metal versions of DREAMCATCHER songs, they already blend rock in their music
dreamcatcher already has some heavy metal songs, like "curse of the spider"
@@Cyphon i know, but i would like HEAVIER, with screams and breakdowns haha
Jessie singing in my native language with perfect pronunciation...
This collaboration is pretty epic❤❤
I'm a Metalhead, had a band for years and now I'm a K-Pop DJ too. Flipping Le Sserafim to metal was freaking awesome. I have the strong feeling a lot of metalheads like some K-Pop songs because K-Pop blends so many genres together, sometimes in one song. It's not the four chords standard thing what you expect from pop.
I read some comments about DREAMCATCHER. They are an awesome rock/metal K-Pop Group. You also should listen to the new (G)I-DLE song "Queencard" it has Pop-Punk vibes.
Its worth noting that the founder of Kpop and mentor to BTS, Seo Taiji, is a metalhead. He played in a metal band before forming the 1st hugely popular Kpop group "Seo Taiji and Boys" who themselves dabbled with metal elements on a few songs (a popular example being Classroom idea, which BTS has covered live). Years later he reinvented himself and did a straight up nu metal album "Ultramania" that became his best selling as a solo artist
Might explain why Kpop seems to love the Phrygian scale just as much as metal
Wait you wanna tell me Seo Taiji is the founder of KPOP? respect. I'm a metalhead and have nothing to do with KPOP but like a decade ago I came across Seo Taiji's - F.M business (n0thing but headshots iykyk) and was a fan ever since. P.S drumming that song is super fun.
@@TESLACE1337Yes it’s true he’s started Kpop and pretty much introduced South Korea to hip hop. Then years later in 2000 he popularized nu metal in South Korea, which ironically caused K-pop to temporarily decline in popularity around that time. He’s referred to as South Korea’s president of culture
@@TESLACE1337 Josh Freece went from drumming for Suicidal Tendencies to playing on 2x Seo Taiji albums in the mid 90s. Seo Taiji is a HUGE foundation for what Kpop grew into. The founder of one of the biggest labels in the industry (SM) started out in a metal band. And, of course, the current reigning classic example of rock/metal mixed with kpop, Dreamcatcher, are a group assembled by a CEO who made his start back in the 90s by bringing X-Japan to Korea for a concert.
There's a LOT of metal history in Kpop.
Is it 😮 holy shit 😳 revelation
there's kpop girl group that using rock and metal genre (non scream), their name is Dreamcatcher
I don’t know how long Nik plans on keeping these video’s coming, but I do know I’m good be sad the day they come to an end.
These are all total bangers.
Also digging all the vocalist nik is collaborating with, can’t wait to see who else he starts making songs with as theses gems keep getting, bigger and bigger. 🤘🏻
Dude how are you so damn good and how are you getting even better with each of these videos?
Umm..... with practice?
Literally 10 years of playing guitar and just doing it everyday will work WONDERS for your skills. Its like a cheat really.
Dreamcatcher did that long time ago
Sounds like a Korean Spiritbox with hints of yonaka. So good
As an fans of Le sserafim and metal music, I cry when u make this.. THIS IS LIT FAMS 🔥🔥🔥
Jessie did a REALLY great job, and it's clear she REALLY cared about what she was doing and wanted to give Nik something good. I applaud her!
And that pinch harmonic is still fucking INSANE
i’m so happy to see all these DREAMCATCHER comments! i’ve been a fan of them since MINX and i’m so happy to see so many people loving them. i hope nik checks them out!! i think he could make something really cool out of scream or bonvoyage!!
Of course it can be metal, just listen to the riff in Odd-Eye by Dreamcatcher.
Just listen to Dreamcatcher in general, I do recommend.
This reminds me of a kpop girl band called dreamcatcher who mix metal riffs into their sound, though not quite as heavy as this
He should definitely check out chase me by them. It's a BANGER
@@phoenixwhite141 Wait til he finds their Japanese tracks hehe

I looooove it. 🥰 Could you please make a reaction video to the korean band Dreamcatcher? I mean, their are not "metalcore", but have some metal/rock vibes. I recommend "Chase me", "good night", "scream", "Piri" & "Deja vu".
Queens Pioneers
they are not mainstream enough, nik just wanted to ride the wave, so much so that he ignored 300 comments asking for a reaction to Dreamcatcher, disappointing I was a fan of this guy I thought fame didn't matter for him to evaluate
Oh yeahhhh!!!! Check out kpops "Dreamcatcher" first rock oriented group.
Nik, now that you're in this kpop hole, please try listening to Dreamcatcher. I'm almost sure you'll enjoy it.😌👍🏻
You did it! I find Kpop difficult to come up with metal guitar parts at times but you killed it here man, what a neck snapper!
I don't think I've ever heard any K Pop before is it not as repetitive as American Pop? I'm not a musician so I could be wrong but it seems like turning Pop into Metal wouldn't be too bad since it's such a simple and repetitive genre
@@Werewolf914honestly the only requirement to make a metal version is that the song itself is good. K-pop, and pop in general, hires the best songwriters to write songs for their singers. But yes, K-pop does sound different from American and British pop. It's just as repetitive, just with a different sound. Same thing with metal, really.
@@Werewolf914 Imo, depends. There's lots of kpop that sounds the same, but there are others that stand out amongst their market. Kpop uses different pulses and melodic structures than straightforward metal and sometimes their chord progressions get pretty quirky (case in point: Newjeans' "Attention", Red Velvet's "Birthday", for example). It may be easy to just whack on a typical metal riff on a kpop track and call it a day; it's another to think out of box and make it stand out, I feel.
Duuuude!! If you make one after a dreamcatcher-song too, I create ten RUclips-channels which will only follow you 🤣👏 great job as always!
I just commented this omg!! Dreamcatcher are AMAZING and their music is already rock influenced, turning it into metal would be sooo dope.
@@layan4124 let's hope Nik likes the idea too
I've been waiting for him to dabble in this genre! If you have time, Dreamcatcher is a good one to check out since they have a mix of heaviness too 😊😊
How are you so good at this? Jk, we know why - all those years of practicing, all those years of recording covers to the point of near mental breakdown, all those years building this channel into a place that hypes and grows the metal scene. Same reason why the best names in metal now want to hang with you on Twitch on Fridays, and why I'm wearing the same hoodie you are in this video. Keep it up dude🤘
This popped up on my Spotify and it absolutely blew my mind. it goes UNREASONABLY hard.
next, make a song but each note is a different genre.
God why would u suggest that xD that would be torture for Nik lol
@@nanobotkemo be honest, you’d wanna see that.
@@Lilith_Reaver it would definitely be interesting but I'm not sure if it would sound all to well. I guess it's really depend on the order, like main genre through sub genres?
The vocalist is amazing.

Same 😊
Similarly here!
As someone who loves both metalcore and kpop
I AM BEGGING FOR MORE CONTENT LIKE THIS
I'm glad you've just accepted the fact that with every "how to in 30 seconds" video, we're gonna want the full version so you get it done haha. I'm glad you started this series. It's the best thing since i discovered Leo Moracchiolli years ago lol. Keep up the awesome work 🤘🤘
Side note: I still want a core song with lyrical content based around the whole copy-pasta thing lol
Dreamcatcher: Sure. Yes. Definitely!
Nik is a poser, he only knows the mainstream
As a korean, I prefer this version. I'm not really a K-pop fan, but I'm really liking it

The group Dreamcatcher is already making K-Pop songs with Rock/Metal instrumentals in it. You could check them out.
Check out Dreamcatcher - Enless Night. One of their heavier tracks. One of the few(if not the only) Kpop acts that use double pedals in their records.
I mean, you don't have to convert kpop to rock/metal when Dreamcatcher exists. It's funny you had Danny from Voyager on the other day, because top of my "never gonna happen, but imagine if..." musical wishlist is a Voyager X Dreamcatcher collab.
exactly
Omg, okay it's happening! Everyone stay calm, EVERYONE STAY F**KING CALM!!!
Ok
If anyone wants more kpop metal here is 4 actual bands for you
Number 1 seo taiji and boys they formed in 1992 as the first official kpop group and they are a nu metal trio
Number 2 dreamcatcher they are more modern kpop with the dancing but also usually have a rock/metal backing track
number 3 synsnake they are kpop fused with metalcore and they can breakdown
And number 4 madman's esprit which was a 5 member group is now down to 1 but there depressively suicidal blackened pop which sounds very interesting and very good
Anyway i hope you like these bands and have fun with them like i have had ill talk later
Gotta recommend Eighteen April! Not so kpop, more metal
@@Esoteraeon great choice I already know they exist but there not kpop with metal
Love Synsnake!!
Though it's not kpop, Broken By The Scream combines the standard Japanese idol group sound with metal and harsh vocals and it sounds awesome

Dude I can’t believe you got Ankor’s vocalist for this, I’ve been a fan of their stuff for a year+. Song actually goes hard too, great video😁
I recommend you to listen to songs from Dreamcatcher. They have so many amazing works, and "Endless Night" is one of the best.
Need more kpop gone metal !! This is amazing !
Dreamcatcher this is an kpop group with metal/rock hibridos
Definitely great vocals, enjoyed all of the Ankor songs I've heard! That video editing for Jessie's back and forth was tight, loved how the split screen was synced!
@xNikNocturalStranger danger
My God no genre is safe from Nik making them better 😅
I'm getting Kingslayer vibes from this, à la Bring Me The Horizon and BABYMETAL.
LeSserafim actually got me with 'Unforgiven', so having a good metal version of it is extra great.
Somehow this must be heard and reacted to by the members! :D
Ankor?? omg I just discovered them this week! And I also discovered le sserafim last week.. and now Nik mashing this things together in an awesome blast of a song! It's SO COOL!!
listen to dreamcatcher they have carried this kpop rock and metal vibe since their debut, they are the pioneers
So basically Dreamcatcher in heavier xD
Been a metalhead for most of my life. but I occasionally enjoyed kpop. Their songs are catchy. Tbh if you dig a lil deep into kpop hole, youd find some rock and metal influences performance in Kpop, especially in Exo - Mama (Heavy Metal Live performance) and TVXQ ft Trax & BoA - Tri-Angle. Might be not your taste but I enjoy the exo heavy metal performance myself. Trax it self debuted in SM (Huge Kpop Label) with Nu Metal genre back in the day. I personally like their earlier songs like Paradox and Scorpio. And if you wanna hear recent ones, maybe try some songs from Dreamcatcher, I'd suggest Good Night and Don't light my fire from Dreamcatcher.
I was just waiting for the usual banger but holy shit Ankor! these folks are doing great music in English, but also covers of anime tracks in both English AND SPANISH! THIS IS F*** GOLD!
Metalhead should listen to Kpop more, especially for Girl Group like DREAMCATCHER, dude they're legit Kpop mix with Metal! Ngl!!

Nik, Do you ever heard of Dreamcatcher ? They got some heavy stuff. I suggest Endless Night. Drum were played by Coldrain's drummer. Yeah. They are kpop.
LE SSERAFIM freaking slaps. Antifragile, Blue Flame, No Celestial and Fearless are some other good songs of theirs.
Didn't know the lead singer from ankor can speak korean that's sick
K-Pop Rock & Metal? Sound like DreamCatcher. They already been around since 2017.
The proof is called Dreamcatcher. There's already a group doing that
yes
Yes, perfect song for metal and k-pop fan. Maybe a collb' with luke holland and his cover of Blackpink ? Dreamcatcher may be a good girls band to cover their song. They have a mix of EDM and metal style in their single. I made metal drums with blast beats and it works perfectly.
Nik is such a good song writer its crazy, he could write bangers for a living
Hey man, I know it's a lot of work, and it's appreciated, but could you try to do the same with Pink Venom from Black pink? I think it would be very interesting.
Anyway, great video.
