I have extremely dry, flakey skin, but I also live in Louisiana where it’s super muggy and humid. So I can’t NOT set my foundation, or the humidity will break it up! But sometimes I use a little too much powder and of my face is a little matte, and even if it’s not, I’ll take the essence pure nude on a fluffy brush and literally sweep it over my whole face! I prefer an intense highlight that pops, so Pure nude is too subtle to use as a highlighter. But sweeping it over my whole face literally adds a subtle glow and luminosity, and just brings a glow back to my skin after I set it with powder! And you can’t beat $5!
My favorite drugstore highlighter is actually a palette from Makeup Revolution. It's from the Sophx collaboration. The highlighters are EXTREMELY pigmented! I even wore a mixture of them on my wedding day because they catch the light so beautifully!
I really enjoyed seeing all these highlighters swatched. But for me, at 57, I love using the Elf baked highlighter in Moolight Pearls. I had heard you had to scratch off the top layer to get to the actual highlighter. I never had to do this. BUT, as an older woman, I need just a touch of highlight and this product is perfect for me!!
Hey Allie! I got some constructive criticism for you about your thumbnails. This may just be a personal preference, but I like it better when you don't fully show the products in the thumbnail (like you did in this one!) I like the surprise of getting to see what the items are. On some of your other videos of you trying new products or full face of nothing new, etc, I feel like the surprise is ruined when I can see every item you are going to use before I even watch the video. Just a thought!

Video Ideas: 1) One palette and collab with a few other ladies so we can see different looks from the same palette with different people's take on that same palette. 2) A video only using things you love that are discontinued, may not help us shop but its still fun to use what you have. 3) A video on makeup touch ups, keeping it simple! 4) Makeup for glasses...it looks horrible when I take off my glasses and the foundation has rubbed off in those areas plus its hard to see a gorgeous eye look when wearing them. 5) A spring look with no pink :) xo

The Lancome Dual Finish Highlighters are my absolute FAVORITE, and it makes me sad because I never see anyone talk about them!! I have the shades Shimmering Buff and Sparkling Peche, and they're definitely my most used highlighters. They're not glittery, and they're super buildable, so you can go from subtle to blinding. They're so creamy and buttery and really melt into your skin without emphasizing texture. It's only of the only high-end highlighters I'll use, but they're SO worth it!!

I love the Makeup Revolution baked highlighters!! Specifically the shade 'radiant lights'. I thought it was a dud at first, but once you get past the first layer, it's absolutely stunning! I love the undertone.
Wet n wild has some of the best drugstore highlighters out there in my opinion! I wear golden flower crown on a daily basis! It just melts into the skin and you can tone it down to look natural or build it up and it’s absolutely blinding! I’ve also been wanting to try the Pixi highlighters as I’ve heard those are amazing as well! 🧡💜

I bought the Kylie Cosmetics Ultra Glow Loose Powder Highlighter in Santorini. It definitely can be layered to Ultra Glow status, but with a light hand it’s subtle and natural looking. ❤️🤗

The Milani Strobelight highlighter in Afterglow is amazing!!! So beautiful, melts into the skin as well, and the colour is perfection on my fair skin!!!
Essence pure nude is my fave from the drugstore (the pure nude sunlighter is also amazing but I can only wear it as a highlight in the summer time!) but I also love: Burt’s Bees all aglow bronzer stick (but really it’s a cream highlight) in “golden shimmer,” wet n wild megaglo highlighter in “bloom time,” and the wet n wild shimmer palette in “boozy brunch” they’re soooo good! I have a more medium complexion though for reference
The Diorshow highlighter palette has been a consideration for me since it came out. VIB Rouge sale or not I am heading next to click the link and order it. It is as stunning as I’ve heard as this solidified that fact. Really enjoyed this video as highlighters are my weakness!

The Laura mercier matte radiance highlight in 01 is beautiful! It’s similar to essence pure nude but imo even more natural and beautiful on the skin
