    🥵 6 WORST Money Mistakes in Denmark: ruclips.net/video/3y_zQBcnMCE/видео.html

    Hello guys,
    I have a question which would be interesting for expats.
    What happens if you are buying accumulating ETF from positive list without selling (we don't have to pay tax for capital grown) and after 10-15 years you want to move to another country and change tax residence ship. For example, Germany or any other EU country. Should you pay tax for your ETFs here in Denmark before you are leaving ?

    • @MarioScianHQ
      @MarioScianHQ  2 года назад

      You need to pay capital gains on the accumulative ETFs at the end of each year even if you don't sell

    Mario, your videos are a real tresure. I am so happy I found your channel. Keep up the good work 😀
    I just wonder what happens with my investments if I invest in index funds through Nordnet and then I move to another country. Do I have to sell my investments or can I transfer them to be taxed under the law of the country where I live in?

    • @MarioScianHQ
      @MarioScianHQ  10 месяцев назад

      You can’t transfer investments between platforms (at least that I’m aware of). Better to sell and buy again. Thanks for the kind words!

    What do you recommend for maxing aktiesparekonto while starting out ? Nordnet's månedsopsparing only works on standard accounts. Manual buys of ETFs/indexes ? Perhaps on Saxo for lower fees ?

    • @MarioScianHQ
      @MarioScianHQ  2 года назад +1

      Yes, normally dollar cost average over a few months (i.e. 25K x 4 times vs. 100K in one time). There's no manedsoparing, and if you're just investing 1-2K a month then yes Saxo will be better.

    • @enjusticeable
      @enjusticeable 2 года назад

      So for example if I add 5k each month, should I wait until I max out the 103.500kr and then buy the stocks or just buy every month for 5k?

    • @MarioScianHQ
      @MarioScianHQ  2 года назад

      Buy every month for 5K

    Hey Mario. In the page on the Aktiesparekonto on Nordnet it says that there are some things that Nordnet doesn't report to skat. I'm confused, as I don't speak danish. Is there anything you report yourself? And another question. Does Nordnet report to skat the taxes for the gains made with the investments? PS: I only want to invest on Index Funds to begin with.

    • @MarioScianHQ

      Nordnet does everything, you likely misunderstood something

    @MarioScianHQ, question: What happens when you know you are not staying in Denmark for a long time? I have decided on a Brokers account that gives me more mobility. How can you do your taxes then?

    • @MarioScianHQ
      @MarioScianHQ  Год назад

      No idea, you need to do that via them and share with SKAT. But you're likely in for a accounting mess to be honest

    Why Nordnet and not Nordea for ETFs?
    I have been using NORA, the investment fund of Nordea, but I want to get started in ETFs. Nordea works also as a broker for ETFs, is it maybe too expensive?

    What is your logic to go for iShares S&P 500 for your månedopsparing which is lagerbeskattning but not a simillar Danish fond which would be realizationbeskattning?

    Hi Mario,
    thank you for your video.
    I have few questions:
    You mentioned that on a månedsopsparing you are allowed to add 4 funds without paying any fees.
    This means that I am allowed to add more then 4 funds paying adding extra fees or it is just the max number of funds you can add?
    Is there any limit of funds number you can add in a aktiesparekonto instead?
    The max you can reach at the moment is 106.600 dkk, 50.000 dkk per year.
    Am I allowed to add money on the second type of account anytime I want?
    What Do you think about robo-advisors? Would you suggest that?
    It would be also usefull if you make a video about green investments and ESG.
    Thank you so much for you time and I really love your meditation/cold shower morning routine!

    • @MarioScianHQ
      @MarioScianHQ  Год назад +2

      You can add as much money as you want to the normal account. MO is up to 4 funds but you can manually do as many transactions as you want (for the right fees).

    Hey Mario, yesterday crypto went down around 10% in a few currencies. Is this a good time to buy or should we worry and hold back?

    • @manojit00
      @manojit00 2 года назад

      Also, I was checking Nordnet to invest on S&P500 through my aktiesparekonto (I haven’t invested anything yet), and I see that to buy a share (39 EUR) I’ll have to pay 10 euros of transaction fees. Is it normal??? Will I have to pay that much every month or is there any other way to pay less?

    • @MarioScianHQ
      @MarioScianHQ  2 года назад +1

      For Crypto - You can still put 5%-10% of your investments. But it's money that you must be willing to lose. For Nordnet - Fees for foreign ETFs are very high, but that's even too much. Check for other similar ETFs in indexinvest.dk.

    Hey Mario. Another question from me on unrealised gains. How does this apply to expats moving to CPH who already have stocks and shares? Especially if these have been held for some time and have gained in value. Will these be taxed at the original purchase price or the price of the asset when you move to Denmark?

    • @MarioScianHQ
      @MarioScianHQ  2 года назад +1

      You’ll be taxed on the gains as of the day you’ve moved into Denmark (in my understanding!)

    • @niallmccreanor8656
      @niallmccreanor8656 2 года назад

      @@MarioScianHQ so for clarification. Your understanding is that asset would be baselined as the price it is on the day I become a tax resident in Denmark? And not the original purchase price? Thanks for all the hard work and keeping up with the comments. It’s very much appreciated.

      @@niallmccreanor8656 Very interesting question. And also - the same issue could be after you are going out of Denmark having some ETFS/STOCKS on your account to some other EU country. Should you pay something here in the Denmark before you are leaving or you will pay taxes in your future country once you will sell this asset ?

  • @TraiponWheels

    One point i'd like to emphazise regarding a regular stock account (not ASK): all ETFs, both accumulative and distributive, are always taxed on a stock principle (lagerprincippet). Until recently my understanding was only the accumulative ETFs were subject to lagerprincippet BUT that distinction between accumulative=lagerprincippet and distributive=realisationprincippet only applies to danish funds like sparindex/sparinvest/etc. Can you confirm?
    Also regarding kapitalinkomst you alway refer to the 37-42% rates. I get that the 37% is bottom bracket+municipal+church, but if the other figure (42%) is the top bracket tax, shouldn't this be 52% instead? as the top tax is 15%, this should be 37+15=52, not 42. 🤔

    • @MarioScianHQ
      @MarioScianHQ  2 года назад +1

      Yes -- I suggest everyone to use the site: indeksinvest.dk/indeksfonde/ for checking what taxation applies. It's only Danish funds that are "udbyttebeltalende" because to be honest nobody else in the world would want to have that type of fund -- it's always a bad deal unless you add the insane taxation here.
