The bassist of this band is so influential, responsible or played bass for so many bands that he practically is a quarter of the tech death scene in Canada he is legend status
Seems like the riff at 7:18 was directly taken from Johann Sebastian Bach's violin concerto no. 1 in a minor: ruclips.net/video/Q3-5144TaYg/видео.html More specifically at 0:35 and 1:56
Easily the best song this year, in my opinion. WOW. I was absolutely jaw-dropped and mesmerized between 13:00 and 14:00. The musicianship, talent, endurance, creativity, and speed is off the charts! My previous pick was Brand of Sacrifice - Foe of the Inhuman, and I know that's like comparing apples and oranges, but yeah, wow.
Phil tougas (dk if the spelling is correct for the second name) he be came a very big inspiration for me as soon as i found this band and still my favourite band iv seen live when they played with obscura in glasgow
I can't put into words how amazing this song is to me, like you guys are easily the best tech death band out there right now in my eyes. The bassist is just an absolute god.
Omg....there are the amazing bands a d virtuous players and then there is First Fragment alone in their level !! what a display of talent and musicianship !!
Damn it's great to hear Vincent Savary again!!! I was thrilled when I learned he would be returning for a guest solo on an 18 minute track. His bass playing on the first album was fucking insane.
Weltseele, Fundamental Process, Behold the Bearer of Light, Illuminance, The Aura, Apparition, Footprints in the Sand (Irreversible Mechanism)? 🤔 As much as I appreciate In’El, I find De Chair et de Haine to be a better written song from the same album. And 3:33-6:55 in that song is just perfect, imo :)
@@Metalton95 i know Fundamental process, the Aura and apparition. Also i want to add authoteist movement (1,2,3), the evangelist, transcendence, imperative imperceptible impulse and etc. But this...this on another level, i think this masterpiece that cant be compared with all of this (IMO)

just read this song's lyrics. they are very weird, written with overly complicated words, like a philosophical text. it's mostly some kind of theogenesis, a strange story about humans, God, angels and some sort of battle for the body and the mind, an armageddon for eternal glory
I can't really say, since i've only read the lyrics for the singles, but i'l tell you my interpretation I see Dasein(their debut album) as a concept album about someone ascending to some kind of entity or god because of revenge for his fallen brothers in arms, and leaving human existence behind because he's going crazy with his thirst for power This one might be a follow up, considering the name (eternal glory, i think), wich would indicate that this entity has kind of made a city or something (since "Pantheum" is aways written in uppercase) for his reign, or perhaps his own pantheon of gods. Again, i can be wrong, and if someone actualy speaks french, or knows what the lyrics really are, please correct me (btw, sorry for grammar mistakes, i'm not even an english speaker to begin with, so yeah)
man after 20 years into metal, this blows my mind like when i was a kid listening to deathnight warrior from cob for the first time

😃 Just makes me feel lucky.
This part is ridiculous.. or ridiculouse as the french would say.
This is amazing song, the Jason Becker vibes choked me, especially on the intro. The whole CD is insane, one of the best bands ever. Just astonishing.
Cacophony vibes
Perpetual Burn! 🤩
This not only rivals Evhron, it surpasses it in every way.
Its been a long time since I've stopped and just waited in my car to finish a song
Thanks frens (:
I only have a few songs I do this for…this is one of them!
I...am one of the lucky firsts to bear witness to this opus. I feel honored. Thank you First Fragment
YOU are the First fragment!
Yes we are
Archspire? Obscura? Etc... Etc..? THIS = AOTY. Excellent work, every instrument clear, perfection√√√

AOTY. Not even a question.
you guys did an EP inside a full album ? wow.
Dang I wanted to be first. Archspire and First Fragment same day is just perfect.
Today is the best day ever.
Thats what im sayin
shadow of intent and mister misery released banger singles as well
and White Chapel and Mastodon, but I am buying the First Fragment and Archspire albums as soon as they drop. What a day indeed.
I’ve posted that same comment at least twice today. It’s like every tech death fans wet dream.
This entire album can be explained as such: What if Steve Vai played Death Metal his whole entire life and had clones of himself in the same band 🤘😎🎸🎵
Speaking of Vai - did you hear his solo on Star One - Lost Children Of The Universe?
I dont think its legal to have this many people having sex with thier instruments at the same time
Remember blotted science?
I hear more Marty Friedman, Jason Becker influences.
more like yngwie
This bassist man , he's something special
forest lapointe. the fuckin man
Album so perfectly crafted i started levitating
Unbelievable. I never thought any band could challenge Ad Nauseam's "III" for AOTY this year, this is incredible.
Same. Ad Nauseam may be more unique strictly speaking, but this is a marvel of human achievement. Surely a landmark album of the decade.
@@TBaggins96 No doubt.

I'm speechless. Seriously. Bravo!!!
An 18 minute epic would take 2/3rd's of a supporting band's set. 🤣. This band is amazing. Not very often is the bassist the showcase...
Big Becker vibes in Mouvement I. Absolute masterpiece overall \m/
Yeah man. Glad im not the only one who heard Jason Becker.
And Marty Friedman, specially with the bends, big big "The Valley of Fire" feels
What the actual fuck ? 11 out of 10
