I appreciate it being able to hear this while driving in the car which is why I cannot read the other comments. But I did want to comment on not only modesty and clothing but I would say jewelry also. I feel like what we can afford could lead to opening the doors of our neighbor feeling jealous or covetous of what we have
Mmm I would argue the same as clothes no? Like wearing branded clothing, buying a high-end car, house etc. I don't think we living comfortably is wrong but I would say we should live gratefully and humbly and share our blessings with others.
Yes, I didn't think to mention it since the video was already talking about clothing. I did look into this a little more. 1 Peter 3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; but let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. KJV The same goes for you wives: Be good wives to your husbands, responsive to their needs. There are husbands who, indifferent as they are to any words about God, will be captivated by your life of holy beauty. What matters is not your outer appearance-the styling of your hair, the jewelry you wear, the cut of your clothes-but your inner disposition. Cultivate inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that God delights in. The holy women of old were beautiful before God that way, and were good, loyal wives to their husbands. Sarah, for instance, taking care of Abraham, would address him as “my dear husband.” You’ll be true daughters of Sarah if you do the same, unanxious and unintimidated.
That is a really lovely thought but where I found it flawed is what if I can afford a car would it be sinful of me if the person who cannot afford one coveted that? I’m very open to correction and like to learn.
It’s interesting isn’t? People think they need to dress immodest to look good. But I can assure you that you don’t need to dress inappropriately to look good. For example, try wearing turtle necks with long pants, I can assure you that those are very fashionable. 💪
Agree! Dresses that are past the knees/ don't have slits and sleeves are quite common too! I love fall clothes coz they tend to be less revealing yet fashionable!
Thank you for the video and i agree with modesty but ,the verse about causing one of these little ones to sin,was out of context it's talking about little children
Incorrect definition in Genesis. It meant loincloths. And if you think the message of the passage in Genesis has a lesson of dressing, you’ve missed the lesson. And modesty is the opposite of vanity, not nudity.
Filled with facts and logic. Can't get any better than that.
Thank you for this video. And thank you for all you do.
Love this lesson on modesty ❤
Great video on modesty
Thank you so much. .😊😊😊
More need to see this. What about dressing for church worship? Some people think you can be very casual.
I think this is a rather denominational difference. I think most people agree abt modesty standards across the board
Well thought out and presented.

So because of what others might think we are going to privates us from enjoying what we can afford ?

PRAISE GOD, NOT ONE CAN SEE MY ELBOWS
'The sinful worldly government'😂

I think it applies to adults too tho the context was towards children
Parents are the model of their children
we are children of God
