Nice Tutorial, but there is one Question that came up for me. How do you "merged" the globus wireframes into the rectangle? I can't do it with pathfinder and don't know any other way.
I absolutely hate Illustrator grids. Not sure if this is just me but snapping works a lot better on shapes compared to grids in my experience. Maybe it’s just the way it was in Illustrator years ago and I never bothered to retry it with guides instead of shapes, but working with those guides always did it for me so I never changed methods

Hey, I used a clipping mask! By using CTRL + 7 on your keyboard (on windows, CMD + 7 on Mac), your bottom selection will be clipped to the top shape!
