My little drummond just takes a hose to the street and i put a window screen cut to cover the bottom to keep anything bigger than a screen Square out, duck tape it halfway up on the pump but cover the bottom, kind of like pulling a sock up your ankles and wrap it around with duck tape.
Interesting setup there, but aren't you concerned the duct tape would come loose after being submerged for long? Hey, there's no one set way to do it, so long as whatever is done is able to keep the heavy stuff like pebbles, leaves, etc., out of the pump. Thanks for the comment.
@@tropicalthinker5231 im in California and that little Drummond is in its 4th atmospheric River Storm and the tape hasn't even unwrapped a bit, 2 things make sure half the tape is on the Drummond body and half holding the screen, and i notice some cheaper off brand Duct Tape does have a weak stick em on objects, make sure you get some original tacky more expensive Duct tape not the cheapie stuff.
There are three screws on the bottom of the pump that you can carefully remove. This would enable you to remove the intake screen. Once this has been removed, you can clean both the impeller for the pump and the intake screen, by gently flushing it with water, or using a soft bristle brush to remove any accumulated dirt. Be careful not to allow any of the dirt or grime that you are cleaning to get into the holes that receive the screws, as that would make replacing the screws more difficult. Hope this helps.
Impressive and concise. Thanks
Very much appreciated. Thank you!

Nice work! Gave me some ideas, thanks.
Glad to hear it!
Great Video Sir! I liked the use of the screen mesh, good idea. I think I will buy one of these.
Glad it was helpful!
How do you clean it?
