In my opinion it is actually impossible to destroy AUs because as long as they are known by people the AU will exist. Maybe not in that multiverse but it exists somewhere else. At least I think so. I think that only a creator of an AU can destroy it. I also think that when you destroy an AU that belongs to you it can cause an AU of that AU where it never got destroyed. Although it would need to be known of. :3
