The K2 is a great foil. However it’s really hard to compare since the tails aren’t able to be changed. The AFS feels like a K2.5 😉 the Kujiras definitely get an improvement on the new Cedrus. If you already have the Kujiras, I don’t know if I’d be switching. If you are deciding between the two, go AFS
I’ve got k2 already, and idk if I could deal with that fuse for travel etc to be honest. I also got a shim adapter and tapped new holes for kd marlin and the like. Haven’t tried it yet still getting a feel for various k2 tails. Can you discern any differences in shape from looking? Online they seem very close to each other.
They're both great foil systems for sure. The AFS build is a bit stiffer as a whole with the full UHM build. Also that allows the profiles to be thinner on all surfaces too. The Code is surfier than the pure, being lower aspect (on both lines) but I think the Pure is a touch faster and still surfs really well with how cleanly the foils can breach
I love these foils. The 1100 is an absolute downwind machine. And the smaller ones are rocket ships on the wing
how is it breaching tips on the silk. my kujiras didn't do well with that
Is it possible to separate mast flex etc and compare k2 to silk. Would they be comparable if k2 was on new cedrus?

Nice job Josh. The Pure seems close to the Code Foil in design. How's the build quality comparing the two brands?
From just checking them out at the shop AFS build quality and finish is top notch, right there with Armstrong.

I LOVED the Pure when I demoed them at AWSI. The 1100 is a downwind machine. And the 700 was a rocket ship.
How would you compare the Silk to the Uni progression line?
Good one! The silk is a touch smoother and faster. I also think the turning on the silk feels more front footed.
