Saying Canada is very liberal is like saying the USA follows Bidenomics because Biden is currently in power. Canadians are polite people but make no mistake Canadians are proud. We have an upcoming election here in Canada and there is a very systemic discontent with the current Liberal leadership. To say that 50% are in favour of joining USA, needs further clarification, as while we are in a weakened state with current Liberalism, there is a strong undercurrent across Canada that upholds to more conservative values. USA is behaving like a rich cousin who is offering a fire sale on our livelihood for American gain.
Not many Canadians like Kevin OL - he tried to run as the leader of the Conservative Party - bombed!!! Also had a controversial boating accident - someone on the other boat died 😩

The last time the USA tried to have Canada join was in 1812 through military force that failed. Are Canadians ready to freely join the USA after 212 years?
Canada as such didn't exist in 1812. The culprit was the UK (seizing ships) and certain elements in congress who saw financial gain. The UK was a greater military power than the US at the time and despite fighting Napoleon, still prevented the US invasion.

Wrong. I’d take it no problem. If you think we have a health care system in Canada you obviously haven’t sat in emergency for 15 hours just to be seen by a doctor. Then multiple hours for assessment.
Is the Canadian health care so good, you only have to wait 12 hours in the emergency room, only 35% of Canadians have a family doctor and we are taxed extremely high. And good luck finding a specialist. It took me 1 year and a half to see an orthopedic surgeon
Yes they do. Their healthcare is horrible. That is why they cross the border to get healthcare in the US. The latest polling shows only around 10% of Canadians are happy with their healthcare, around 50% are willing or have paid more to come to the US for healthcare. It is the same reason all wealthy people around the world come to the US for healthcare. It may be expensive, but the care itself is the best in the world, period. America spends approximately $10,000/year in private health insurance. Canada is taxed $2000/ year for universal healthcare. In the USA the healthcare companies are for profit and it is in their best interest to deny your claim. They also have a deductible.
I've been to an emergency room in Canada and in the US (I'm Canadian) and man the one in the US was so fast! Once you get into a Canadian hospital their great. But a public system, although not for profit, is bloated and inefficient it's basically run by unions making sure their members are the priority and not the patient. Hard to know how to get it right.
@@jwyoungy We only spend 9 % of GDP on health care vs. 17 % in U.S. And even then many don't get health care. @DouglasMurray-h2o I said that once you're in the hospital, as in past the emergency department, things are very good. However when people die in waiting rooms of emergency departments you can't claim things are going well. And the professional colleges limit the number of students for medical professionals so that it keeps demand very high so unions can demand more and more money.

Thank You for pointing that out.
I'm not sure about bloated and inefficient, but more private service on the side might encourage a review of how things are organized. The people I've dealt with were professional and dedicated.
Healthcare expenditure has increased beyond inflation over the last 50 years yet service has continued to decline.
