This was the first time I ever saw Caveman. Ringo can act! at least we'll enough for comedy. Ringo is a rather short man. Looks like the cast had a great time. Hilarious movie.
As a child he had a burst appendix and was hospitalized for a long time, then a few years later was in a sanitarium for tuberculosis. He has some of his intestines removed and has a sensitive stomach, can only eat certain things. He might have grown taller if not for those 2 things. He's grateful for having the life he's had.
Barbara Bach and Ringo Starr got married the same year this movie was released. They are still married to this day.(41 years) They met during the filming of this movie, fell in love and got married. They appeared together on "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson in May 1981. The movie took two months to film. Shelley Long also married in 1981 and would go on to star in "Cheers" a year after this movie release. You're welcome
The campfire scene where they discover and create music is one of my all time favorite scenes in any movie. You could easily imagine it happening that way. I’m a child of the 70’s teen of the 80’s and I was fortunate enough to see this in theaters when it came out. An underrated classic.
Their is a study basically saying that music is mankind's fist language and we use music to tell the tribe "we make fire" or "don't go to that mountain because Uncle Ernie went there and got caught by that tribe" before we know it we knew how to draw animals which turned into hyprgrics, sorry I cant spell that right. Which turn into different languages we use today. And to think it all came from music. Now, that's just a theory, but it certainly makes sense.
I took my girlfriend on our first date to this movie. It was the first showing at Christown mall in Phoenix. As a bonus being the first showing everyone got a copy of the language and a cheesy script. Brings back a lot of smiles, right up there with "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" and "Heavy Metal".
Gracias por poner esta película. La vi cuando era mucho más joven. La vimos con mis hijos cuando ellos eran niños y ahora nuevamente jajaja. Desdes Ushuaia Argentina
This is such a hilarious movie, so well done and great acting. Ringo Starr is not only a great drummer and musician but also a wonderful comedian. The man was truly blessed with so many talents, he is just incredible. Great cast of actors, they looked like they had a wonderful time making this classic. Worth watching several times....
So that's how it happened a Zillion years ago. Great, so that's sorted then. In all that time, Ringo hasn't aged a bit.. Brilliant film.. more like it, please..

I ache for the time period in general. We've lost so much since then. The 70s and early 80s, were the PEAK of human history! I miss it SO MUCH, such that I probably need counseling. Trying to explain it to younger people is impossible. They don't know what life without surveillance cameras is like, they don't even question it. I'd sell my soul to re-live 1970-1986!

Atuk and Lana still zog-zog after almost 40yrs. I remember my brother and I were obsessed with this movie as kids. I memorized the entire movie. And we would always make ourselves eggs after the egg scene. Good times.
This was my little brothers and my favorite movie as well, we were probably 6 & 7 at the time. We used to go around the neighborhood only using that goofy and very limited "caveman" language which would probably be annoying to most mothers, but we had just moved from Hawai'i to Florida so my mom was grateful that it broke us from using the Hawai'ian pidgin. I still don't get why the pidgin bothered her so much, I thought it was cool then and 40 something years later I still do, just like this movie.
