I think that if the b11 had the turret or cannon of the a-10 it would be very op for first it has countermeasures, the infinite battery missiles, its acceptable resistance, and but that turret if it would be something OP
I think ghillie master did a rebalancing of the b-11 that gave it its iconic cannon without making it too overpowered (in my opinion)

GTA's B11 is so unrealistic: they made the main gun as powerful as a grenade, while in real life the U.S. military made the gun THEN made the plane. The B11 shoots BB pellets, while the A-10 Thunderbolt II fires 3,000 Democracies per minute, which is the reason the A-10 is nicknamed "an infantryman's best friend": it sends hugs to U.S. troops, while it does magic tricks of turning hostile forces into piles of debris!

yep, the worst part about the b-11 is that it makes the gun sound 'similar' to the iconic A-10 thunderbolt, but then the cannon is on par with the rogue, which is a much cheaper 'weaponised fighter'. meanwhile the hydra and lazar have almost overpowered cannons, leaving the B-11 almost useless at one of its most iconic features.

@@cabreraman6969 the warthog worked in the Middle East Wars just fine because the Taliban and Isis both had 30 to 40 year old tanks which are extremely outdated the 30 mm cannon on the warthog will be virtually useless in a modern day war the only way that they would be effective at destroying modern tanks would be with 30 mm sabot rounds which are highly expensive therefore are rarely carried by any USAF airfield.
Irl, if the A-10 pilot was targeting a tank, he’d only need to fire the cannon in one short burst that lasts for a few seconds
the A-10s cannon was highly inaccurate and couldnt in practice penetrate the higher armored soviet tanks serving in the middle east, light ground vehicles however would be like a hot knife thru butter

@@Fiberglass_Insulation at ~1000m the armor piercing ammunition was effective up to around 60mm of armor where the GAU-8 has a spray radius of about 12m meaning A) most shots wont hit B) the shots that will likely wont penetrate C) the ones that do will only penetrate the engine bay D) the A-10 will be very susceptible to ground fire and ground missiles
Fun fact: If you open the "Bomb Bay" on the B-11, you'll see that it uses a Jet engine instead of Turbines.

@@zero8zero.5one5 in the B-11 strike force model, under the bomb bay door (which there isn’t on IRL), you can see the jet flame under it. The plane uses turbofan engines (the two things on top), not jet engine

I've won so many dogfights with the B-11 that I have to disagree with you. Most people try to use the B-11 like it's a Lazer or a Pyro which is why they keep losing, this plane requires different strategies for fights than the usual jets.

The B-11 Strikeforce should have the Lazer cannon and the Lazer should have the machine gun on the B-11. They should switch it would be more balanced.
well to be fair the real thing has two gatling guns that individually can fire faster than the A-10's. Only advantage of the A-10 is that it fires 30mm rounds whereas the F-16 can fire 20mm rounds meaning that the A-10 would realistically be better suited for fighting armored vehicles. So I think the better option would be for rockstar just to beef up the power of each shot and possibly explosion radius instead so that it works as a counter to tanks and other armored vehicles.

@@wow1574 the A10s cannon is pretty obsolete these days. It can’t penetrate any modern MBT anymore, and its not really designed to engage infantry.
No? The lazer and hydra are already OP, the only "bonus" is that they're made out of paper. Now you want the flying tank to have those deadbeams? F*ck no! All Exp. Cannons should be those of the rogue or b-11, that would be balance, specially for ground strike...
@@ultimateslayerjr9890 The Lazer and Hydra shouldn't have explosive cannons at all, or if they do, the explosive force should be minimal so that it makes DFs more interesting. The flight performance of the B-11 is also wrong. While the A-10 was quite a maneuverable plane for its intended mission, in an actual dogfight against an F-16, it would lose badly since the thing was made agile. It is safe to say that what should've happened to the B-11 since the beggining was its maneuverability be worse than a Hydra, its cannon should be buffed to the old Lazer and Hydra ones, theirs should be nerfed to the Rogue cannons, and make the B-11 accelerate too fast in a dive and kinda lock its controls, so it would be hard to maneuver the thing when diving, causing the avarage spawn camper not be able to get more than one kill on a ground strike and immediately crashing into a building due to poor maneuverability, but allowing it to be fairly strong against tanks since, well, the Thunderbolt ll was built for that. It wouldn't be so OP, but effective enought to be useful.

Earlier in Gta, someone tried to do a strafing run on me with the B-11 when I was with a friend- and all I said when the person was attacking and failed was- oh it’s the knockoff of the warthog, don’t worry bout it. The B-11 needs a buff, it needs a faster fire rate cannon, same damage as the laser, and a little faster, the cannon now is so slow that while in a dogfight ur most certainly going to miss them when in a vertical fight
That's why you should use the barrage on the b11 but a buff to the canon would make it to op
@@bestofreal not like the cannon on the laser is op, the b11 needs a buff and not just for air to ground combat but for dog fighting purposes, the Jets structure was mainly built around dog fighting not air to ground above to the cannon would be needed depicted because of the stats that it was given, so it wouldn't be op, people have already done videos where they balance it and make the cannon stronger

That being said in desert storm it destroyed 900 T-72s, 2000 light armored vehicles, and over 1000 artillery pieces.
Please look up “How two A-10 warthog pilots destroyed 23 tanks in one day.” It only took 10 minutes for one two maned A-10 to destroy the 6 of them. 🤷🏾♂️

People say the B-11 is bad for dog fights, about 1 year ago, I bought the B-11, which was my first ever plane with a gun. I'm like a level 20, and a level 50-100 was being scummy. I went to my B-11, and in my first even dogfight, I killed him. He was in a laser. Though it was slower, it was way more maneuverable, and while he was doing very wide turns, i was almost always looking on him because of the maneuverability of the B-11.
The real one would lowkey be the best plane in the game (if it were in the game)-the fastest jets in gta only go under if not slightly over 200 (at high altitude too) whereas the a10’s max is over 420 mph lol
