I'm a practicing accountant and I recommend Professor David Krug's videos to new hires all the time. Once you get the accounting fundamentals, it's really not that hard to understand. David makes the learning process simple and easy to understand for newbies. Moreover, I enjoy watching them myself because a good accountant is always solid in their fundamentals and ethics.
I am a 15 year veteran teacher who is currently taking accounting to add a business endorsement to my teaching license. My current instructor is a very nice lady but has no clue how to teach. After watching these videos it feels like a veil has been lifted from my eyes and I can clearly understand everything he is teaching AND I can answer the questions that his students are asking. Thank you, Sir, for being an inspiration to a future accounting teacher. Teaching is an art form, and you are a true artist.

The book is Fundamentals of Accounting Principles 20th Edition by John Wild. He mentions it in his first lecture. It's a good book. Much better than the text my college is using. Love these videos. I'm currently taking a course at Monroe Community College in upstate New York and I don't understand a thing my professor says. However, when I watch these videos it seems as simple as addition and subtraction. It's truly amazing, the difference in teachers and the ability to convey a message in a way that people who know nothing about the subject will understand.

OMG I'm so happy I got in to this video. It's been my 3rd week on accounting class and I still don't know how to analyze. I used to copy ky friends' work and proceed on my own on the trial balance because it's the only easy part lol. This is very helpful. Just a suggestion: not everyone's actually familiar with the words ' Revenue, Asset, Equity, Debt, etc ' and some are from a country whose language is not english so it would be very very helpful and convenient especially for a lot of students like me to get reminded of the definition of the words when you mention them even if just a brief def. I don't mean to like define them every time you mention them but you know what I mean hahhaha. Thank you agaiiiin💙💙

Excellent content, it make me understand the accounting much more clearer. Almost accountants I found have done the communication to help users to make better decisions, but its quality and quantity are not good and too late to take action. The accountant should control the financial result, not just report.
Wow professor that a sound illustration and explanation for us to understand well.Total asset = cash + Account receivable + property.My own understanding on Equity means common stock additional paid in capital and Retaining Earning. This is a total Equity.yes sir for liabilities is include account payable + long term debt. this particular liabilities. has a lots of account payable. yes when your revenue goes down your cash probably goes up. I think it depends the kind of transaction you are doing. great explanations sir.
