I read these books (boy and solo) as kid and my mom used to read the snake chapters to me over and over, they were my absolute favourites.

I am in 8th standard and we have a small extarct from this novel where Roald Dahl travels from Daresalam to Nairobi by his ford prefect i was soo fascinated by the adventure I ended up reading the whole novel.......amazing novel!!

I read this book a long time ago when I was in junior secondary school. 17 years ago. I read it as part of our English class book readings for individual book reports. The book was randomly assigned to me. My little innocent self found the book very interesting at mere glance as I was captivated by Dahl's funny cartoony caricatures and bizarre maps. Before now, I couldn't exactly remember the content of the book, but I knew it had airplanes and WW2. I remember the feeling I got from reading this book as a child, I buried my nose in it. I really loved it that I can recall. I am very much interested in all things aviation and much in the know of the popular ww2 aircraft; the hurricane, spitfire, me109, gloster gladiator and much earlier Sopwith camel. I learnt from this book. This book made me really fall in love with aviation. Hearing your read for 3 hours plus has filled me with the magic feeling of nostalgia. I can almost recall the pages from many years ago from hearing you read. I am reliving my very exciting childhood through this video and frankly feeling like one 🪁. Your reading is calm, friendly and human. Thank you for your effort in this. This really means a lot to a stranger far far away.

There are still several books by Roald Dahl that you have not read maybe you should find a list of them and see which ones you have read and which ones you have not and maybe you should read the ones they’re only on one channel so they will be all on one channel I really like this channel and your other channel because it is full audiobooks, which is hard to find on RUclips at least which is what I use so I’m really happy that your channels still exist

Maybe this is ok live but parts of this are excruciating on playback if not interrupted by an advert every few minutes he ruins the telling of several scenes because he can't look away from the chat.

Now we know for sure. Roald Dahl is shellshocked and his mind let him put his adventures down on paper. Im so glad he wrote these stories. Amazing ! His imagination has no limits. I especially like TALES. THAT WERE PUT ON FILM..
