.minute 5 that flat mountain on the back is the fifth largest crater in the world called POAS VOLCANO , the airport technically is in the province of ALAJUELA but on the booking systems it says SAN JOSE COSTA RICA... SAN JOSE is the capital and that's about 30 minutes away from the airport......that's the central plateau at 1500 meters above sea level , those mountains are at about 2300 and the tallest mountain in Costa Rica is the CHRIRRIPO MOUNTAIN ITS A NATIONAL PARK TAKES 2 DAYS TO CLIMB AND THATS AT 3820 METERS ABOVE SEA LEVEL it's pretty cold over there it has PARAMO VEGETATION WHICH IS JUST BUSHES AND FROZEN WATER , OR ICE ON THE VEGETATION LEAFS
