Damn good choice selling the last one, this new one is a beauty! A new prop and an engine/engine mount inspection would be a lot less expensive than the last project. Plus, you'll be up in the air sooner!
Nice looking bird. As an instrument rated pilot..a couple of things. The more sensitive the handling aircraft...the more difficult in flying hard IFR. Also..the prop strike might mean a mid time engine would be less expensive than a rebuild. Looking forward to seeing this one fly!
Thanks for the feedback. I don't want to or plan to do hard IFR. I only want to be able to get through a deck of clouds at least 1000 AGL for departure or arrival. No interest in flying to minimums or into icing conditions.
What's Will Doing Been there done that...at night...You are wise to avoid it. There is a certain satisfaction in doing it well but it takes continuous practice. I haven't shot an approach in a long time. Stating the obvious...you still need the rating for climbing through clouds. I took a non IFR pilot into that situation. Took him only a few seconds to lose it. Let us know your opinion of the aircraft. I may get serious about one. Doran Jaffas
@What's Will Doing >>> I JUST READ ONLINE - within the last hour or so - that the BD-4C now has a *folding wing option.* Do you plan on incorporating something like that into your BD-4?

It looks like a full size glow trainer RC. Need in my life:
So, 4 years later, what is the update?

Looks really nice. I might have missed it, what are you going to do for ADS-B?
I've been wondering what you've been doing. Hope to see you in the air, soon.
Good to hear from you will nice plane man!
Great to see another video!
looks pretty good, hope you got a good deal... I bet the guy that nosed it over was done with it.lol
Very cool! Thanks for sharing.
I would love to become a pilot and own a four seat aircraft. Money is the issue, it's impossible living paycheck to paycheck.
Any updates?
Nice, plane and EFIS
Will I would like to talk with you about your bd4 and thoughts
Sure, send me an email to will@mikeysrc.com and we'll figure out how to connect.
Does anyone know where I could get a cowling like that?
RIGHT you build u-joints that allow you to pivot back and rotate into a folded position. One man operation
Well what now
