I know a lot of techs if not most techs don’t like using low loss fittings or hoses, just wondering why? I use them and love them and haven’t really had any issues.

I'm not sure. I have nothing against low loss fittings. These Yellow jacket hoses with the ball valves are my go-to.

Nailed it. I preach to our youngsters.....sat temps....pressure means nothing. Had to teach them about bleeding the liquid back into the suction as well....they asked why...i told them.....well in 3 years, if you didn't bleed it back over.....a 5' liquid line hose can hold 3oz of refrigerant....do the math....3 years....3oz......9oz lost for no reason....thats over ½ a lb of refrigerant lost....then someone says there is a leak....and there isn't.
