    I’m tempted to say if imitation is the greatest form of flattery, then Galeon must be feeling very flattered. Clearly Fairline quality and cabinetry is another level, but so are their prices.

    Another professional and informative tour, Jack. Thank you. This boat has everything I want from a boat, and more. Just a few tweaks and it would be perfect. You picked up on two of them, taller hand rails and bar infill. Add coach roof rails and a slot for the sink cover and you are almost there. It's passed the Manhattan 55 on my wish list, and left it in it's wake. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    Fantastic looking boat, especially love the woodwork and that master is stunning. Crew cabin is perfect for a teenager. Would like to see an upright fridge freezer in the galley. Hopefully the handling issues are an easy fix. Thanks for an informative and knowledgeable tour and like how you don't shy away from suggesting where things could be improved.

    Interesting the drone footage also showed her running rather flat, and pulling a bit too much water for 25 knots. Then you helmed from the lower helm and it did look riding bow high near about to ten degrees, leaving me a bit perplexed. After they resolve the issues it would be nice in trying her in a bit of water and about a meter of wave with wind to match (about 15-20 knots), to see how this will work out. Nice review.

    definitely shortlist with an F55 and a Manhattan 55. Love the lighting and the Portuguese bow. I detest the "beach club" as a term, not the actual product.

    I wouldn’t bother with a monohull to be honest. A 60’ range power cat may not be quite as fast top end, but the extra beam/deck space, increased stability, and amazing range are just to much to ignore. The 54 and 70 by Aquila have bulbous bows to reduce pitching which is the stability issue of most cats compared to monohulls. There’s no need for an expensive, heavy, power drawing gyro at anchor or on the ball because roll isn’t a considerable factor in all but the most severe conditions.
    I understand that its different strokes for different folks. A 10 knot faster cruise speed might really appeal to some people. The increased top end could also help you avoid adverse conditions, too. C’est la vie. Ciao! 😁

    Great looking boat - the canvas retractable sunroof looks like a ongoing warranty claim nightmare.
    Better to have rotating slats.

    Another great vid thanks! I can see why this is an important model for Fairline and wouldn’t be surprised if this becomes a future classic. It does some of the ‘Galeon things’ that people rave about (myself included), but with presumably better build quality. Not cheap - but what is these days! I’m sure this model will be a roaring success as it seems to have everything covered. Only options I can think are missing that I’d like to see on future iterations would be side access door and small tender/toy garage (both of which Galeon do on their 50-footer). Cheers.

    As always an excellent tour and lots of info , love the quality of a Fairline, for me would more likely go for the Phanton 65 or a Princess S62 , not sure about the bar stools , we have either 4 or 6 of us , but then guess you can work around that

    Seems like a lot of options at an extra cost! Why not produce a comprehensive complete package priced boat. I am a bit against when boat manufacturers add option's at a hefty premium, when one could get a good spec boat albeit not a Fairline or Sunseeker!

    This is on my #NBBL I keep forgetting it's 58', it feels like it wants to be a 90! Definitely needs more headroom on the main deck; lose the fly, add solar and electric engines, you got an amazing eco Great Looper!

    Boats of this size really could do with a side door at the helm so Galeon 560 fly for me, great video though Jack.

    Great review Jack, as usual.
    A few things for Fairline to fix, but for hull 1 that’s fair enough.
    But for £2.4m+taxes, there’s a few things I’d find disappointing if I was buying. Tiny window at the galley/bar spoils the effect, lack of side door, and arguably not worth the premium over a Galleon.

    Early comment in the video, I wouldn't have thought someone who's paid 2.4m for a boat is worried about an extra metre or so of berthing fees 🤷🏼‍♂️

    What sort of performance would you get with 'TWIN HAMILTON JET UNITS' on those horses? As you know Props, Legs, and VOLVO IPS, would be a 'BEACHING' problem here in New Zealand

    I like the modular furniture look in the cockpit but what prevents them from moving around at cruising speed? Are there special clips underneath?

      Friction, at the moment, but future boats will have the option to bolt it to the deck - Jack
      (as an aside, it didn’t move an inch during our test despite the lack of deck bolts - it’s quite heavy)

    I don’t know about some of these new “fancy” features in the aft. Only works at anchor. If you are most moored in marinas most of this stuff is completely useless and also very expensive. Otherwise it’s a very nice boat. Always liked Fairline but can’t really see myself choosing this over a Princess or Sunseeker 20k£ for a Sonos system 😀

  • @clifbradley

    Always an awesome product. Anything Fairline does, I approve of. They do put more thought into comfort in my opinion than Sunseeker. Sunseeker does interiors better, but the rest...Fairline for sure.

    The British manufacturing sector took a drastic turn for the worse over the past 5 or 6 decades, a few exceptions being Aston Martin, Hi - Fidelity systems, fine furnishings and the Defense Industry.
    Fairline as well as Sunseeker produce an impeccable finished product, this is top drawer (and some).

    A bit overpriced for the options tbh for this model boat. Agree with another person's view, rather than trying to top load the boat to a good spec, why not produce a boat with a comprehensive design and specification at a competitive price. Would not buy this boat despite it's pedigree.

  • @joetemple641
    @joetemple641 9 месяцев назад +1

    Interior still feels slightly dated already. It’s somehow not clean enough design,. But I love the bonus features. Wouldnt buy any buy with a forward c shaped aft seating on the cockpit.

  • @anthonynicholas1165
    @anthonynicholas1165 9 месяцев назад

    The price of the extras tells you just how overpriced these boats are, 17,000 for a sunshade, 40 for a passerell, 2.5 mill for this boat is ridiculous, but if people are willing to pay it good for Fairline, good tour all the same, nice boat but overpriced and made of fibreglass.
