When Sauron first showed Celebrimbor the One Ring, he could see it was imperfect. It took the utmost tenacity to refine it, and even more to craft the New Ring.
Calebrimbor didn't even bother checking to see if his wife and children were alive. Turns out it was the one thing Sauron was honest about. He focused on power and revenge, being blinded to everything else.
Im pretty sure the ring corrupted him, after all, Sauron’s essence lies within it and it’s purpose is to dominate all life. To me it’s obvious how after Celebrimbor gained it he would lust to dominate Mordor. (Also notice how Celebrimbor thought his family was already dead)
he was an arrogant asshole that got his arrogance bite him in the ass twice, and both times he lost everything first his family, then his only chance to dominate sauron
@@samuelguzman2405 No. The Ring never corrupted him. He always had those flashy(blue) eyes. It's more like he was always a hell bent drunk power dictator deep inside. He just controlled himself better before taking and wielding The One Ring.

I really don't understand how Calebrimbor thought that turning a sentient phylactery against its lich would work out well. Between his will and that of a maiar, its not really a contest. He should have fled Mordor with the ring, looked for allies and then died as some unexpected plot twist happened.
Yha but once he got the ring he wanted power and wasn't thinking straight. Even then Souron had his wife and kid likely before they completed the one ring.
That the power the ring, it influence him to go to Sauron and return it back to it master, but manipulate the user into thinking it their idea, that they can claim his power, that their will is clearly stronger
I just realized, the guy who voices Celebrimbor ALSO voices Mimir from God of War 2018, which now that I listen to Celebrimbor its almost comedic how similar they sound
I came here just to watch the playthrough. Much credit to the content creator. I've completed the main story 100%, all Trophies as well as The Lord Of The Hunt. But as soon as I started this DLC, all skills went out. I can't complete a single tower or mission. Far too difficult.
I know i am almost 3 years late but nevermind Celebrimbor is the better protagonist for me, talion is good don't get me wrong, but ultimately these 2 games are celebrimbor's story, talion is, as the tower stated, a vessel, a damn good and very skilled vessel but a vessel nonetheless
Staff Meeting I would agree, if not for him betraying Talion, sure it was for a “good cause”, but the 2 had fought Sauron for years, just for Celembrimbor, the elf who forced Talion on as a tool to just throw him aside. Celebrimbor was a mighty person, but power got into his head, which led him to abandon Talion, or perhaps, Celebrimbor was using him all along, and didn’t actually care; I really did like Celebrimbor up until part 2, it was a sad twist, though he may have been a fool Talion probably saw Celebrimbor as family, and once again lost another member of his family and was subject to decades of long war, alone; sure he could’ve just died, but that’s not what he and Celebrimbor wanted, they wanted to hold Back Sauron, fight him, give middle-earth time. Celebrimbor was great, but as all great tragedy stories go, someone has to fall (Sorry for late comment 😁)
2 more years late but yeah Talion was a very skilled vessel. It's heavily implied that the reason Celebrimor failed to dominate Sauron at the end of Shadow of War was because he betrayed Talion at the last second. Talion was apparently on equal footing if not stronger than Eltariel even without the power of the new ring by that point. I guess fighting and dying potentially hundreds of times might make you somewhat of a badass eventually.
I Completed shadow of mordor but my PC ran into some problems while completing bright lord campaign , thanks for this video so i could finally end my suspense
Thanks for letting me enjoy this DLC. To be honest, is too much for me, all the timed missions, and hard warchiefs is too much. I still enjoy the main story and lord of the hunt, it is a really cool game.
After playing shadow of war, his talk about have Sauron serve him was probably foreshadowing to the end of Shadow Of War(by that I mean the ending most people get, cause they don’t finish shadow wars)
There was quite a bit of foreshadowing in SoM. The wall of the ithilien inscriptions already mentioned his urge to dominate, his disregard for the woes of Lithariel's people...
@BESTDAYSGAMING😀 well you see, there is something called a joke, what I’m trying to do is make fun of celebrimbor for having his hand (that has the ring on the finger) open when about to kill sauron and then the ring slipped and you know how bad it happened to celebrimbor
I hated how they did the betrayal between him and tailon it was completely unnecessary and stupid for them to do that. They had two characters that were perfect together, the same goals, the same losses it was perfect. They even had personalities that bounced off each other perfectly. When they made this, they should’ve made an alternate where there’s no betrayal, and they fight to the bitter end together . They should’ve made a good ending where they wintogether in a bad ending where they lose together . And then they should’ve made this also with a good ending for celebrimbir just so we could have it after they made that horror show mistake of a plot twist. I think we deserve better. It’s not like they had to follow the storyline of Lord of the rings or the lore. This isn’t canon to begin with so they could’ve done what they wanted. They just wanted to add some stupid over convoluted plot twist.
I know I'm late, but the regular Uruks? They kinda look like Warchiefs, yet you already have the Warchiefs, so they must be Uruk Captains. You're telling me that, to Celebrimbor, Uruk Captains are just regular Uruks?
Got a really big and dumb question, i'm a bit slow when it comes to comprehending obvious things sometimes 😅 **spoiler alert if u haven't watched the whole video** . . . . . . So is Celebrimbor who kills Talion and his family? Why pick him as his vessel?
The Black Hand of Sauron kills Talion’s family at the beginning of Shadow of Mordor and The Black Hand of Sauron was trying to get Celebrimbor to posses him but Celebrimbor chose Talion as a vessel so he could get revenge on Sauron for killing his family
