I really loved your summary and you are right about not trying to take it all in. Do not worry about not knowing what is going on, you get used to the names and situations and you kust end up being comfortable. Imagine this is a history book covering 1500-whenever, they will tell you who is who in 1500 on but 1499 does not get a mention. You are dropped into a situation and you have to find your feet but don't worry it does fallbinto place, you will,if you enjoy it, want to read it again and you will be like ahhhh. Another thing at least 3 times you will be dropped into the same situation of not knowing where you are with totally new characters but TRUST THE AUTHOR.
Giving you props for trying , and doing very well, starting off this book . It is Insane getting dropped into such a wild and huge story . Ammander Rake is a Beast !
