It definitely takes a stoner mind. Smirk well done. When I was a ‘wee lad’, my grandfather from Scotland gave me a shortwave radio, taller than I was. It was full of tubes and looked like a grand adventure, to me. He took the time to show me what a capacitor looked like, and told me it could kill me; showed me how to safely discharge it; set a box of mismatched tools beside it, and then told me, at 6 years old that if I could fix it, I could have it. I worked all summer long, dismantling it; cleaning everything, and putting it all back together. I raced down the stairs to get him, and half dragged him up the stairs, and watched his eyes tear up, and saw joy in his eyes. He was as excited as I was, as we tuned in stations all over the world. He told me he was proud of me, and treated me like a colleague; a young professional. My granddad was born in the Highlands of Scotland, in the late 1870’s. The year was 1966. He died the next year. My granddad brought that 200 pound, 5 foot tall radio on the ship across the Atlantic. We spent many hours together, tuning stations and listening. Later in life, my granddads trust in me, and him giving me the opportunity to set out to explore, and make something electronic work again was a foundation for many of my endeavors - personal and professional. I smiled, for you, as you operated on this camera - I could related to your Stoner Mind. Well done. Thanks for being a creator. You have a new subscriber, as well.
that bluetack idea is genius my friend. The amount of times i take things apart for repair and sneeze or as you say, the cat jumps up, and i lose the odd one or two. This would save my bits box stock more than i would have thought.
@@MyStonerMind420 I think it's one of those things I'd just never thought of. I never use bluetack. Don't think I currently have any. To the poundshop!
Nice video and humor. I've done this mod with a point-and-shoot but haven't yet attempted it on a bridge or DSLR. I like the 720 nm IR filter as it seems to offer a bit more starting material for subsequent manipulation of color in Photoshop.
7:47 What if need to take a picture of the wires with the camera I'm disassembling? 8:53 Watch out for that cap mate! It'll give you zap! Also, I think you just made a DIY night-vision camera. All you need is an Infared illuminator Flashlight
I have a RUclips channel where I do all sorts of stuff, but mostly tech stuff and DIYs. I've done some audio stuff, but hopefully I'll do more in the future.
The issue with that is the parts are much smaller, much more delicate, and tend to be glued together so trying to even find the filter to remove it can destroy the Phone's camera
Use infrared lights to make a night vision cam! Security lights that can see in the night use infrared lights because the human eye cannot see infrared.. the only light you can see from infrared is a dim glow of red. if you shine the remote into your eye in a completely dark room, you can see a very dim flash of red coming from the light. Make a night vision camera using the infrared lights!
I hate those silver screwdrivers which you've showed in the beginning. They are so uncomfortable to use, also you need to use way too much pressure for them to move the screws at all. Unfortunately I only do gaming on my channel atm. I guess to make an electronics channel wouldn't be a bad idea, but I dunno how I should realise that.
Please send me an extra or spare camera I really need to make some RUclips videos about different things! My phone's camera really sucks it's just 8mp.

Hey, thanks for the comment, I enjoyed reading it. You both had a good relationship and I'm sure, a lot of good times.
Cheers!
Thank you for sharing your story, I am a dad and will take exemple of your grandad
Have a look at the sky with your camera on infrared might be interesting 🤔👽
Tbh the camera was a lot more complex then I expected , amazing how much is in them

thanks! I use Blutack for all sorts of things, it comes in quite handy.

I was going to use the back of a speaker at first but I would have had to have made a bit more room on the desk.
@@MyStonerMind420 haha I use the backs of speakers more than I should. Playing with big magnets is always fun.
Yes, you got the video 13:37 minutes long.
lol
It's interesting how only certain things reflect infrared light, and that it turns things almost the same shade of purple.
I really enjoyed your commentary!, I learned what a quid is :)
Haha nice
OUTRO SONG IS "Heavy - MyStonerMind" on his soundcloud.
Always Entertaining. Thank you.
Those things are packed!🤔 wow there’s a lot in those little buggers, that explains they’re prices
So entertaining
😄😊😊
cheers my dude
Also if you want to use it as a normal camera you can also fit a IR cut filter, all filters can be screwed to the front of the camera.

Can you now get a infrared light sand see if it can work like a night vision camera
does filming the speaker's membrane show anything?
and what is the end music?!
That was a brave thing to,do yourself. My friend is just going to turn my Nikon P1000 to IR. can’t wait to get it back to see the results..
Love the video 😂 you make it interesting. You earned a sub.
How do the tweeters work on your nice computer speakers
So what did you do to the sensor? I thought that was the important part of the video but you didn't show it.
nothing
Now make a night vision camera using those ir lights
I sometimes post speaker tests on my channel, just for fun.
Also, perfect video length!
That is so much easyer than taking apart a vintage film slr camera
I've taken appart 5 of them allready so I'm getting better at it btw
nice intro
Just add a IR 720 Infrared lens and you are now a daytime UFO hunter ;)
;)

My good mans Bluetooth speaker Tower is making a weird noise when I have it turnd up to 100 what should I do and by the way I got the front of it off
TLDW; So the thing on your Instagram was IR filter?
Can u do a video for converting like a not to old smartphone like a Samsung s5.
The issue with that is the parts are much smaller, much more delicate, and tend to be glued together so trying to even find the filter to remove it can destroy the Phone's camera
Film an iPhone x when unlocking the phone. You should see all the small dots it projects for Face ID
nice

You love blue tac don't you..?
what can I say, it comes in handy for just about anything. Though I wouldn't recommend using it as a replacement for chewing gum.
I make videos of the emergency alert system in America as well as DXing for stations far away from me

I'm missing the equipment atm and the time
yeah those screwdrivers are just terrible
Get a 12v Infrared light emitter and go ghost hunting!
Please send me an extra or spare camera I really need to make some RUclips videos about different things! My phone's camera really sucks it's just 8mp.
Can you please modify it more so that it gives heat sensing like flir. You'll be rich.
My Channel can interisting you, because i Made music with FL Studio (and i do gaming. Sorry)
25th and Video is nice

I will change my yt channel name to InfiniteSounds. I will post speaker videos and songs that I made. It may interest you
