“Helping our fellows not as a chore, but as a norm” my thoughts exactly

What a great video!!! We are our ‘brothers keeper’ and there are so many ways we can help others. Our nonprofit began by giving socks and recycling shoes, blankets, and clothes to the homeless. Now we give new clothes, shoes, household goods, bikes, baby goods, and so much more to those in need. Each of us can do something to help others.

Riches would not accept this definition.
But truly this is more than philanthropy.
You are doing this with generosity not for evading from taxes.

Awesome presentation!! This has really helped me to understand Philanthropy on a different level. I thought it was all about money too until now.

It brings out the best in people to be around people with a mindset like yours. Remain a blessing to others and my you find growth and favour from God above.

Wow Destin... You are incredible. INCREDIBLE!! This made me smile so much!! im so so proud of you. Your mom is a superhero and your family has such an big heart. Thank you for analyzing philanthropy and showing us that we have the opportunity and abilities in different extents to practice philanthropy. I relate to this so much in the sense that I wouldnt see myself as philanthropic because not everyone has the chance to give thousands. But we really have to use the privileges that we do have (also thank you for the reminder that having food, acess to shelter etc is peivillege) to help others. This should be the norm as you said...and "compassion, sacrifices, and throwing clothing at the tv is what really really makes the world hit a 360.." I love this and I'm so glad you were able to come back to this imagination of throwing clothes to the tv in hopes of children receiving them into a reality.

Philanthropy is a joke. Look at the yachts. Now look at the homeless!

I'm afraid that you are quite wrong. Sending goods incurs large import duties. The cheap stuff you send is cheaper in the receiving country. Find a good charity and send cash. david

U know that at times sending money get taken away and those who need it don’t get all of what someone gave in cash.
