That statement just summed up for me some things for me on so many levels. And when she said Preach Jesus’. He’s the one that gives us the power to overcome sin (paraphrased).
Her story is my story. Christ set me free in 1998 from homosexuality & addictions and throughout some struggles and failures He continues to show himself faithful. I love Him more everyday. Thank you Jackie.
I have a niece just like her who has never been "feminine enough" and now in highschool has a girlfriend. I thank this woman for writing this and coming to tell her side so that I can better understand my niece.
Any sin that can keep us out of the Kingdom should be discussed on Focus. Thank you for sharing your testimony! The church needs help reaching the LGBTQ community.
Thank you, Jackie for your testimony, your faith, and your honest and loving comments. It’s so valuable (and convicting) to me. As a Christian, I don’t think I respond well to those in my life dealing with homosexuality. Thank you for speaking out it has helped me.
13:20 she mentions why she had a special connection with women, because they were there for her emotionally. This is an extremely important point in relationships.
I'd grown up associating Focus on the Family with a legalistic community that listened to them on the radio and, in practice, ignored/reinforced abuse to keep traditional family roles in place. Seeing Jackie here is the reason I clicked to watch them today. I deeply appreciate that they invited her on and that they're discussing this topic in a helpful, positive way.
I loved the fact that she said that ppl forget to over come u have to first accept jesus and it takes faith and power to accomplish all God's telling us to do love it.
Thank you for this. As a mom with a daughter struggling this gives me hope. One thing I have seen over & over is so many in this struggle have been molested as young children. Let's understand that people have been so deeply wounded. Not an excuse for any sin but let's use knowledge with compassion. Let's be Jesus to all.
I really appreciate the fact that Focus on the Family is addressing these current challenges within the church and our young people instead of shying away from them. Awareness and educating others, on what those who struggle with this are thinking, is building a bridge for us to be able to truly love the sinner and not the sin. Compassion, love and understanding will take us way further than condemnation, hate, and alienating them.
I may not your typical audience (59 year old former “fundy” but faithful follower of Jesus but I read (actually “consumed”) Jackie’s book last week. I read it to help me understand the struggles of those in the SSA community but I was consistently surprised at how she was used by the Holy Spirit to shine a light on areas in my life that I was not surrendering to Him. We ALL fight temptations of one kind or another and only with God’s help can we resist and walk in victory. Her book goes beyond her particular “issue” but speaks to the heart of all of our issues: Summed up in one word: unbelief. That one word on that one page struck a chord with me. Thank you Jackie for sharing your story and being such an ambassador for Christ for this time. I have a better understanding of how to communiicate, love, and pray for the LGBTQ community now. Praying you continue to stay strong in the Lord!
I found her comment about our culture reaping the the results of teaching unbiblical gender differences as if they are “gospel”. I think that is something the church has yet to really understand. I think I really agree with this idea.
I never heard about Jackie until today. I was listening to some gospel music and this came across my feed. So glad I'm not too judgemental to see what was being talked about. Her testimony has truly been enlightening and uplifting. I'm reminded of a song that say, "Jesus will pick you up if HE has to reach way down!" Peace and blessings to you Jackie. Continue to tell of God's goodness....
This literally brought me to tears. Amazing testimony. The Church needs people like her and less of those who condemn others instead of trying to reach out and bring them to Christ. And I appreciate the sensitivity and insight of the Interviewers. Very refreshing. What she says about the rigid gender roles within the Church contributing to gender confusion, bang on. I've always felt this way.
I don't like the way the questions are being phrased, like they're perfect and never sinned. She doing a great job of answering these condescending questions.
Love this breakdown. Thing my feel natural to our flesh, but not natural for our Spirit man. Brings me to a greater understanding that flesh is never right. Lean to the spirit only.
I secretly stalk all of Jackie's videos but while watching this one, I really resonated with the daddy issues. If you ever read this Jackie, I hope you write a book about daddy issues.
Holyyyy cow she said sooo many things that was RIGHT ON!!!! I GAVE my self to Christ for the billionth time. I'm fighting the same thing she did.... And boy it is such a shameful thing to speak about. Many go on feeling it's wrong and trying to change on their own (me). Sooooo many struggle with this.
She makes a lot of sense. I appreciate this show asking people like Jackie to share their stories, instead of just preaching how to follow Jesus. These types of testimonials, and the excellent questions from the interviewers, are better than any sermon.
I believe women understand women in ways men do not understand women. This is not to slam anyone, it is simply that there are differences in how men and women think. I think this is sometimes part of the attraction when women have been hurt by men.
I am very thankful for this discussion with Jackie. Jackie, you are a blessing to people who are struggling with the issues of lesbianism, and for everyone who needs to understand the truth and consequences of that choice. I thank the Lord for your salvation and your willingness to share your journey in life, and how Jesus transformed you into the godly woman you are now. The Lord bless you your family! I am blessed to have heard your testimony. So real!
Thank you Jackie and Focus. Jackie, you said a couple of things here that I have never heard you say before that were so helpful/revealing in my own journey of restoration. Bless u for being willing to be so candid.
Another, fantastic interview! Again the courage and honesty. Jesus is the GREATEST gift any of us have ever been given. Earthly Fatherhood is so critical. I know, even I struggled in learning what my Heavenly Father meant, how to relate and how to accept and understand Him.
Powerful and thank you for sharing your story with a hopeful praying mother that have 3 children dealing with this unclean spirit. So you have given me faith and hope to keep speaking God’s truth over their lives and so many others that I see in this world.
I dońt know what Jackie means when she says being with a woman felt ´right´but that she also didn’t feel ‘peace’ when she was actively into lesbianism. I love her testimony and have her book which was great!
Thank you, Jackie, for sharing your grace through courage. You just brought me such hope for my daughter; that she can see who she truly is in Christ Jesus.
I love the point made about how Jesus empathised with everyone and made connections with people, and the mention of Romans 1 and 2 warning believers of the hypocracy in judging others.
Absolutely love Jackie! I didn't even start watching yet but I had to comment. I'm happy she has received this opportunity and I look forward to the gems she will share.

Then when she says about recalling her first affection from a man was abuse. It wasnt a hug. My my my.
Jackie has an ability to make things plain and clear.
Truth. I'm not homosexual nor am I perfect. But I have abstained for all 40 years of my life. There's a movie about me. LOL!
