FILM DESCRIPTION:
Greedy corporation Omni Consumer Products is determined to begin development on its dream project, Delta City, which will replace the derelict Detroit. To achieve this end, O.C.P. is employing armed forces to bully residents out of the city, under the guise that they are just doing their part to reduce crime and root out thugs. After RoboCop (Robert John Burke) joins the civilian resistance, he sustains severe injuries but recovers to battle advanced ninja robots developed by O.C.P.

The rebellion has begun
I remember loving this film as a kid, but coming back to it now, it is really sad how far the series had fallen at this point. The villains were cartoonish (why is his second-in-command continuously holding his pistol up like that?), the dialogue was downright silly ("Stay right there!" One line later: "Step away from the door!") and all of its subtlety was eliminated (questions of ethics, human life, and corporate greed, switched over to no middle ground good guys versus overlord bad guys). The first one will always be a classic, and the terrible final entry makes me appreciate it a lot more.

ROBOCOP 3 was directed by the director of NIGHT OF THE CREEPS AND THE MONSTER SQUAD!
Another stupid comment about this film. They were told to “stay right there” as opposed to “come over here”, because McDaggett thought he was in charge. He didn’t want or need cops in his way, he saw them as beneath him and expendable. Hence killing Lewis and knocking out Murphy. McDaggett was a terrible name admittedly and his demise was ruined by equally terrible music. Having him and his lieutenant British didn’t work in Detroit. And as for questions about life, humanity, ethics and greed, you must’ve been asleep during those scenes. It was all there and more so than the prior film.
I remember hearing about her death from brother before I saw the movie. It hit me pretty hard at 5 years old!

Well, Nancy Allen did say she didn't want to do these movies anymore. So this scene right here was the only reason she agreed to do this movie.
It's too bad, because I liked her as Lewis. She was a great partner to Robocop.
If theirs a rc2 Lewis would become robocop 3.

It is amazing how this Robocop film is hatred, but with what is going on with the Israel and Gaza conflict, this film is so relevant.
