So puberty literally means is when a child's body begins to develop and change as they become an adult . We normally associate puberty as turning from kid to teenager, a stage of growing up. In JB's story that was how young he was. So what JB said is a funny way of saying how upset his dad was that "he slapped the puberty out of him"..

He was really good at being creatively annoying. lol
